Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Guess I should put some text into my post. Oh well nothing is simple anymore. Cass I think that this post could have its own forum area. We should work on the Beer mentor idea. I'd nominate you, Robert Hughey, Steve Beaumont and Josh Oakes as beer guru's. having one of these guys out for a pub crawl...

Hi again Gotta make a correction. Kay's pub will be a Microbrewery Freehoose. I've seen the future menu and it looks good. Better line up now. They've gutted most of the place so it no longer has that 40+ swinging singles feel to it. (Where will all the cougars go??). Kay plans on having at least 9 ...

Hi There I'd suggest the Victory Cafe. It's in behind Honest Ed's and has a great patio. Burgers are awesome too. Plus and excellent selection of Good Micro's There's also the Bordello (a friend of mine's restaurant) closer to Honest Ed's. Nice patio and good food too. Black Oak Nut Brown, Camerons ...

A while back on Trevor's deck, Roger asked me what can he do to help the Microbreweries? Such a simple question, but my head swims with all of the possible ways that will help our industry. Here's a ten step Micro program to help us. (Okay so a few steps are missing!!!) The key point is to get more ...

Hi Y'all Yesterday Kieron Meaney (and Paula) got possession of "The Blue Meaney", which will be opening after about 2 months of renovation. It is located one big block south of Yonge & Eglington. Vague dates for opening are the Fall of 2003. (It has the old sign "The Manhattan Lou...

Hi Y'all It was great to see everyone at SLM. Its a ton of hard work setting these shows up. (the late nite drinking and lack of sleep really take their toll). Fantastic to see all of you again and chat about beer in a social setting. You're right about the music. At times it was too loud. Our booth...

Hi Ya'll It will be great to have everyone visit and sample some beers. I wonder if it should be a BYOBS (Bring Your Own Bendy Straw) event. I'm thinking about charging for access to the BOB Bathroom, after all I just power washed it to make it presentable. Should I get those little Scented soaps? (...

PS I forgot: Please don't refer to Black Oak as "BO" It just doesn't give the image that we are spending countless unwashed and sweaty hours over in our development. If you could please use "BOB" for Black Oak Brewing. Most of us here bathe at least once a week. Yours in a very n...

Hi Y'all You would be welcome to come out and visit on either of those dates. (I should have all the doors locked and barred by that time..) We can try some beer from the fermenters and the Bright tanks. This will depend on what's in them at the time and what stage of production they are in. ...

The tax break is the result of all of us Ontario microbrewers doing some very serious lobbying. It is very difficult for us to survive in this province and this tax reduction will be used to help all of us grow and put more great local Ontario beer onto the market. This was lead by the OSBA (Ontario...
