How long has Cheval Blanc been at the Beer Store? Noticed it on their website yesterday and picked some up at Spadina & Bloor today.

Portland, Oregon, lost their AAA baseball team but the vacuum has been filled with a short-season A-ball team in neighbouring Hillsboro. It's been named the Hops and merchandising will be revealed in November.

I've been there twice already. Sunday brunch was near capacity but no line-up (give it time). Staff wonderful. Beers good. The cheese plate was OK but shy of Volo standards. The brisket was fatty and far from tender. Nonetheless, we'll be going back.

Walking from Castle Frank station (with some very nice, quiet Rosedale side streets and some beautiful time on the Beltline Trail) would be in the 20 min. ballpark.
