Y'know, it seems to me these offers to take 3 or 6 bottles usually fall on deaf ears. Why not just purchase a case of one of them (They are all good), and then trade with people after they arrive.... I didn't mean to create a monster here! After some thought, I'm going to go with A on this one - I'...

Anyone interested in splitting a case, or doing some mixing with individually bought full cases? I haven't had a chance to try much of the rogue stuff, other than the shakespeare (wild irish) rogue, so I'm open to many of the styles (the hazelnut and mocha porter caught my eye, but am open to others...

What's new at Smokeless?

I'm going to be stopping in at Smokeless Joe's for the first time in a while tomorrow night after work, so I was wondering if anyone has been there recently, and if so, what I should look out for? Thanks (and let me know if you happen to be making a visit there as well).

That sounds good Greg, I'll try and find something suitable for trade.

I'm pretty flexible through most weeknights, so let me know when you guys had in mind. I haven't made it down to Ciro's yet, so I'm looking forward to it.

Had a pint at C'est What today. Fantastic. I may have to make the trek out to pick up some bottles. Well done Ken to you and your crew!

Well, that takes me back Beer Geek. Yes, I was there (I've got pictures somewhere!) and the apple ale was very tasty from the keg from what I recall - pity I wasn't there for the clean up though! My tastings out of the bottle have never matched the heights scaled that the keg offered. I was just loo...

Never underestimate my inability to use a website, but from what I could attempt on the search engine, nothing of the sort was coming up. But it is good to hear that it can still be found out there. I haven't been to an LCBO in about a couple of weeks, so that is why I was so surprised to see a post...

I can't seem to find it on the LCBO website anymore - it wasn't that long ago that it was on there and that there was a decent amount around the GTA - what gives?

Thanks guys, I saw a few on ratebeer and other than the Guinness, most had, like you said, pretty mediocre ratings. So unless there are some hidden gems out there, I'll probably just put in a request for a few bottles of that (although I've never had a milk stout before - I may give that a try).

Two extremely rare beers that you absolutely MUST try: Tusker Lager and Castle. I hear they put Rochefort to shame.
Uh, thanks, I'll make sure I try a Molson Canadian next time I'm in Canada too.

African Beer

I was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions for "must try" beers from Africa. I have a friend who will be making a trip to the continent shortly, specifically South Africa, and she has volunteered to possibly smuggle a bottle or two back. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Finally made it there this past weekend. Apart from having a fantastic weekend seeing a play and enjoying the town (there was a great bookshop with some awesome deals and the biggest collection of Nightmare Before Christmas cult merchandise hidden in the back, along with numerous obscure Simpsons fi...
