Normally that would be an automatic yes, but I made a couple of post-St. Lawrence trips there last weekend, so the beer budget needs a little rebuilding time. Enjoy though, if you go!

Am I the only one for whom none of the links are connected to anything?
If you mean the links on the actual site, then no, you are not alone, I could not get them to work either.

This was my first St. Lawrence and I really enjoyed it. A few new beers, none of the silliness that accompanies macro's at these fests (for the most part) and a pretty cool atmosphere (fantastic weather helped). I'm beginning to recognize a few of you guys, I saw joey_capps pouring non stop for Scot...

I just got back from a morning trip to the Weston Rd/401 location and lots of hopback there. As an aside, keeping the in mind the info is usually 24 hours old, I've never been let down by the web site inventory (finding that "1" left may be a challenge though) - of course, when the product...

I find London Pride in the bottle to be a very different beer than it is when you get it at the pub in England I couldn't agree more, and the same can be said of most good english ales - they are meant to be tasted in cask form, not out of a bottle (something I learned quickly when this Canadian la...

Coopers was one of my first GTA local pubs when I first moved here from the sticks 6 years ago. Back in my novice drinking days, I recall being in awe of the selection of taps.

Great Canadian old firm anecdote Mississauga Matt.

I'm looking forward to trying some of the Summer Lightning, it is the only one I've missed so far. I too enjoyed the Haymaker, and I like the London Pride, so no complaints here. Didn't care for the St. Peter's though, although it grew on me after a while (I actually found it quite smoky as it warme...

I'd be up for pint and my later weeknights (Wed, Thrs) are pretty open. And we're heading into EURO 2004 territory, so catching TSN's evening encores of the games would make a perfect backdrop, despite my usual preference of pubs with no tv's. :D

St. Lawrence Craft Beer Show and BBQ Cook Off

So, who's planning on attending next weekend? For whatever reasons, I've never been, so I'm looking forward to a smaller, quieter festival than in August. For those of who have attended, what are your impressions of this event? Josh's description on Ratebeer made it seem like a decent time. I'll be ...

OK, now I'm lost. Could somebody please remind me what the original point of this post was? It seems to have followed some rat into a very long hole If I remember, it was to let people know that GB's pints were pretty cheap at the moment! I have to agree with Jon's recent post. I think there are be...

Wasn't a Dundas Square location in the planning at some point?

That would make sense, in keeping with the AMC theme, as they have been ready to go for about 4 years for that location. Again, the property management (same ones I believe) has had trouble securing other retailers/tenants.

Thanks for taking one for the team Nick and scouting out the area. Your observations are duly noted. I was hoping at least Wellington would have a presence and it seems like it does - good. I'll report back after my trip in a few weeks time.

I believe that GB and AMC Theatres have some sort of deal. It has more to do with the property management Perry. Pen Equity seemed to be lining up the same folks for all of the AMC plaza's (Boston Pizza, Putting Edge, etc.). The last I heard AMC was trying to acquire all of their property from Pen ...

Gorden Biersch

I was at the Whitby, Ontario version of this brewpub last night. While not a huge fan, I thought folks might be interested in knowing their pints are now $3.50. I don't think we'll see them around too much longer, especially with a couple more pubs/clubs opening in that complex soon (and the Oakvill...

I saw that this morning and meant to post it as well, thanks burgermeister. I've quite enjoyed their 2 offerings so far (and I don't tend to go crazy over lagers/pilsners). According the the person I talked with at the Judge Fest last month (it was later in the day, I can't recall his name  ),...
