At Barhop yesterday Thrust--still one of my fave GLB IPAs--when is Lake Effect back? Indie alehouse Cockpuncher--very underwhelming for a DIPA...too much malt forward not a lot of juicy hops imho Sawdust City x Barhop--blood of ctuchula--loved this ...very faint raspberries in the background but way...

Just had an Underdogs All or Nothing and this has really changed to me since the summer.

Firgit to post last week but attended their grand opening and gotta say really enjoyed their blonde ale and Irish red...their double IPA will be sampled next...I'm just glad durham county now has 4 or 5 options for local breweries and I hope they continue to up their game

The pale ale from them is a traditional English style pale...good for the style but nothing I'd consider world beating. For a cottage brewery just starting up its decent but average

On tap at cest what last night...juicy mosaic hop profile, mid level ibus, malt backbone not upfront which I prefer in IPAs, love my hops. This is just a nice fresh refreshing IPA! Nice work by block 3

Haliburton highlands wheat ale
Picked up some of this as well as their abbey and a pale ale on Saturday. The bottle date is July 4 so as fresh as possible. The wheat ale misses the mark completely. Not traditional cloudy appearance. No banana or clove notes at all. Thin mouthfeel no head retention. I love supporting these cottage...

Got a bottle from 2015 release and had it last night...could not detect the coconut or vanilla at all...let it warm up ...nothing...tasted like Lost River to me...I don't know maybe I'm not an imply stout/porter flavoured beer kinda guy?

I get fresh Naughty Neighbour at the LCBO by union st 1-2 weeks old and it amazing fresh so no need to buy 2-3 month old SNPA. If it comes fresh I will try it then.
