How many do you need Patrick? I've got at least a dozen, possibly more. I'll check when I get home. All are nicely cleaned, labels removed, ready to accept new homebrew.

A recent poster on that Sun article said that the BC Liquor store make an annual profit of 900 million dollars??? If that's true, then selling it off for 700 million seems rather foolish, to put it mildly. I'm pretty sure those number include sales from the BC Liquor Stores (which aren't being sold...

If someone is working at a bar or pub and not making any tips for whatever reason according to Ontario Minimum wage they are still making $8.90 an hour. If they wanted to quit and go get a job at McDonalds or Walmart they can get an instant jump in pay to $10.25 an hour, which is the general minimu...

That's a great deal. I like the old-school mechanical scale, but I do need something for smaller hop measures. What's the precision on that one? (I was thinking more along the lines of <1 Kg capacity with 1-2 g precision). Derek, I've heard this one at Lee Valley is pretty good. Not that you can ju...

I think I saw a Facebook post in January that they were brewing some more.

I have heard of a few people getting them from Innovation Homebrewing (http://ihomebrewing.ca/stainless-steel- ... ottom.html) if you want to buy from a Canadian source.

It definitely has been on tap at the Town Crier on John Street for months (6 months perhaps longer, can't remember exactly), not beside Mad Tom and Spearhead though.

I made it out for a bit. The place was packed so I only stayed for a couple samples and to chat briefly with Kevin and Hirsch. I was quite impressed with the result though. This was a definitely a clean, well brewed beer. A very pleasant level of bitterness. Definitely not a hop bomb, but I didn't e...

In the winter, a pot with a lit works fine. I've never had a problem. It is a good fitting lid, so as they say, YMMV.

Any advice on the honey? Pasteurize in the boil (15 minutes)? Just add at flame-out? Or don't heat it at all? Part of me is leaning towards a 15 minute boil and removing the hot break... but then part of me doesn't want to loose any aroma... The only time I heat my honey is when making a Bochet. Ot...

Thanks. I was thinking it'll be almost like a barley wine, but it'd be nice for some sweetness to come through, so I might aim for 30. That honey will cost $50! :o Derek, too bad you aren't still out here, we've found a local honey source for half that price. It isn't buckwheat, but it is very high...

You might be out of luck. I was there about 40 minutes ago and they only had 5 bottles left. I was told there weren't anymore, but that hasn't always proven to be correct.

Picked up a 6 last weekend. Not sure if my palate has changed, but find this a much more enjoyable beer than the ones I had in Kelowna roughly 2 years ago.

Bottles are incredibly thick, great for bottlng homebrew.
