Growing my own hops

Last year when I was picking out plants to grow on my balcony I thought briefly about growing my own hops for my own beer. It was a bit late in the season and I didn't really have the time so I put it off until the next season. So, I'm looking for any advice regarding growing your own hops on a balc...

I'll be cracking my last one on Motley Day, I'm interested to see how it's changed too.

Looks a bit like 3956 to me but either way, that's a decent amount.

I remember finding a cache of 2013 Amsterdam Tempest at the Eglinton/Laird LCBO this past summer and they also had Mokah. I think Summerhill had some at the time as well.

Was drinking a Roman Candle by Bellwoods earlier. I didn't like it that much it when I first tried it but it's definitely grown on me.

Peche Mortel, the regular non-barrel aged version. I grabbed a bunch of these in the summer when I was in Ottawa (hopped over the river to Hull and stocked up). Glad to see that it's also coming to the LCBO in the new year, I won't have to waste space in my suitcase when I go to Montreal in January.

We showed up around 5 to 11 and there were only a few people in line inside. Grabbed some double tempest and some more sour cherry imperial stout, and then we went inside for a flight after the brewpub opened.

I snagged a few Double Tempest at the Leaside LCBO (Eglinton Laird) last year. No big drama, just went in and bought 'em. This was some time after the nearby Brewery release, and it's a good store to drop by if you're by Amsterdam anyway for your 'non-LCBO' goodies.. Nice. I like the Laird LCBO, du...

when should we expect the influx of Sierra Nevada, Stone and BrewDog?

better question: when will be getting these regularly on tap?
Apparently starting next year (for Sierra Nevada at least).

I know it sounds crazy. I had this beer on tap and couldn't believe how good it was. Had to ask the waitress to confirm it was the Beau's beer I ordered in my glass and not something else. I'm not saying it's incredible, but it's pretty solid - especially for Beau's. They also have a barrel aged ve...

Had the 2014 Amsterdam Tempest last night to celebrate Stout Day. Not bad, but it tasted like there was a lot more coffee flavour this year. I think I prefer the 2013 but I'll have to crack open a bottle soon and do a comparison.

line up was tame @ 11. Not sure how it compared to the SK release. We probably saw each other and didn't even know it. It was a little shorter than the SK release. The girl at the cash said she was having issues with their internet that caused the line to move a bit slower, but overall it wasn't mu...
