I had a Sgt Major's last night that was literally hours off the bottle line. Maybe 4 hours. It was really amazing. So fresh.

I think their logic is that it would appeal to kids on the shelves of parent's homes. However, I'm not a parent but I wouldn't want the gov't telling me that I would be unable to keep booze out of my kids hands with a santa label on it. I'm pretty sure that this is the flawed logic that the LCBO is...

Yeah I wish Beau's would amp up their seasonals other than local watering holes and at the brewery. They really have some good stuff. All in due time I suppose, they are growing pretty fast.

Nice, looks like I'll be stimulating the Gatineau economy this weekend! I wonder how much of their business (this place, Trappe, Jovi) depends Ottawans... Damn even include Costco. Ottawans roll in to grab the 55 can Coors/Dry/Export cases. A lot of people I know buy their beer in Quebec, good beer...

This is a great idea. I have to believe a beer like this would survive. I know I would purchase it. You look at Quebec and they have 3 maybe 4 beers along this line (maybe not that high on IBU's in some cases) but Corne du Diable comes to mind. Simple Malt's Cascade IPA. Both are exceptional beers a...

Picked up two bottles from the brewery yesterday. Not readily available but if you "ask nicely" you might be able to get some.

I love visiting Beau's Brewery.

This is great news. I adore Alpha King and would love something similar coming out of Ontario. I just need to get my hands on it in Ottawa.

Congrats on the great hop beers! Keep up the great work.

I think LCBO has some competition in the way of bars and restaurants. I mean yes it is more expensive to drink at a bar but it is another way to drink. Um, where do bars and restaurants in Ontario buy their booze? See this has always confused me. I mean do all bars and restaurants really buy all th...

The problem here is more LCBO rather than the HST. The HST over three years the competition will bring the price down and savings will be eventually passed on to consumers. But the LCBO because it's a monopoly, has no competition so they can continue to charge whatever the hell they want. And in thi...
