Hasn't the Tree DIPA been available through the LCBO for the last couple of summers? Not that I mind though I remember liking it and also like how this release sounds.

I lived in Mexico for 22 years. Most people I know down there never drink Corona unless it's the only thing available. My ex girlfriend's dad also worked at a now closed Grupo Modelo brewery and it was always amusing to talk to how about how much of the Corona production was for exports. In this cas...

The Boulevardier is a thing of beauty. I do admit I am more a fan of the old pal which follows the same recipe but using dry instead of sweet vermouth. And I've had the Campari + IPA a few times both in restaurants and at home. I do find it works amazingly well with Green Flash West Coast IPA. You n...

Cocktails

There is a wine/spirits thread but thought cocktails are kind of enough on their own to warrant their own thread, so here it is. Last night was an old fashioned night for me. It was 2 oz Rittenhouse, 1/4 oz of rich simple and 2 dashes of Angostura, orange peel oil, stirred for a bit on a tumbler wit...

Started tonight with the Sam Adams Cold Snap. It'sa very bland witbier but goes down really esy so don't really mind it. Continued with Ginger Beard. Too sweet and malty for what I prefer in ginger beers. The Phillips from last year my favourite so far and this one doesn't come close to it. Indie Al...

Finally had one of the Backwoods Bastard and I'm impressed. I usually don't go for scotch ales but this is face-melting good. Having had everything from the release now I'd have to say I'd love for the Porter to be available all year. That is one fine every day beer. I was also a bit disappointed by...

If you only see something like 24 or 48 listed somewhere it might be for someone ordering the cases. Told a friend there were 48 in Liberty Village last weekend. I went to pick something else up but as I got there I saw someone getting the boxes from the back. It does seem a bit cruel to have that s...

So the LCBO is bringing Carpano Antica in the Vintages line. http://lcbo.ca/lcbo-ear/lcbo/product/details.do?language=EN&itemNumber=360248 Not sure when but this is really the best sweet vermouth you can get, either for mixing or to drink on its own. It is also relatively well priced. This and D...
