Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

We stayed until 7:45, and it was still "out". One of my other friends that stayed even later (8:30) checked and it was still not available. Anyway, I feel bad grumbling about it, because I did in general enjoy the event. I just wish those that did not get to try it at all would have gotte...

meh. even speaking as someone who's often been on the preferred side of the velvet rope, i still don't think that's right... but whatever. everyone can form their own opinion.

I don't think they were actually saving anything for the non-ticketed event. that's the reason they were giving at the time. if it's anything but this (ie: saving it for a chosen few instead of non-ticketed), then it's a far more questionable call. I can attempt to see noble intentions if they were...

You're talking about the Tremens, I assume? It's going to be at the Beer Store, not the LCBO. So the previous issue that kept it off the shelves - which was the name, I think, not the label - presumably won't apply anymore. it's hard to keep track which laws the lcbo is choosing to enforce on which...

I thought it was rather obvious that this would have been the most sought after beer. I didn't get any because I arrived late, however, if I was there at the beginning this would have been my first pour. I was more excited for Fou than Zwanze, honestly. The difference being, I think everyone expect...

guess the 'BO decided to reverse their stance on the label? remember when this could be found around ultra cheap if you knew which stores to go in and ask for it... hidden in the back room of course.

"preferred treatment" aside, i did think it was a little sketchy to cut things off... it's one thing if you've got multiple ticketed sessions and need to try and save some for the next ticketed session, but cutting off ticketed folks to save some for non-ticketed... meh, that doesn't seem ...

The graphic visual aid was an important addition though.
indeed! though i had envisioned more like the little ones that tomato juice comes in, i think the "stubby" cans would be more demeaning and appropriate.

yeah, the search is finicky... but if you click on the last post icon (the little page beside the username, on the far right side), it'll pull the thread up.

both a little old, but you may find some info in the previous threads from 2009 and 2010/2011.

(and this way hopefully all the info will stay strung together).

The only people I ever bash are the Volo people....they're in it for the money, not the love of beer. Look at Cask Days, all donated kegs, volunteer employees, and it's still $35-$45 to get in plus $10/pint. They must be raking in the cash. those numbers are pretty unfair. the ticket price is $35, ...

so many awesome events to pick from... i can go back to the first cask days and find amazing moments at so many events. that's really what got the ball rolling. tap takeovers, funk nights, casks, collabs... the list goes on - and a bunch more that i missed and wish i'd been able to check out! This i...

i actually liked one of the Steelback beer on tap. i kid not. I had a post-D'Angelo Steelback Dark in can form a few years ago. It was fine, uninspiring, but fine. Never did try the stuff while Frank was running the show. unfortunately, i've had my share. used to get it from the Mouth himself for f...
