I've done some shopping around today at different grocery stores. And I've found some ok substitutes. Apparently Loblaw changed the packaging and label of their cider, and made it not necessary to refrigerate, thus I couldn't find it in the store when i was looking in the fridges... It's now called ...

Delicious. Going to need to buy more of this, lots of growlers at the store in case anyone was wondering. Well hopped, good bitterness, don't even notice the 6.8% alc. until it's too late... P.S. Tried the Cigarette-way City IronSpike Ale, not as bad as everyone was saying, but did taste like the sm...

Homemade Hard Cider - Situation [no longer (*edit)] grim....
Hello all. I'm having a bit of trouble, and wondered if any of you had ideas. I have been making homemade hard cider for a few years now, and have always relied on President's Choice Apple Cider. It was preservative free (which is really really hard to find these days), available at Loblaw, or No Fr...

The Black Pearl - London, ON
Went there tonight (Sun.) they had a decent tap selection as far as London lesser-known-pubs are concerned. Creemore Lager, Bud light, Guinness, Mill St. Wit, Tennants, Okanagan 1516 Lager, Okanagan IPA. Not too bad, I'm sure we could all bash it for not having cask or whatnot, but as far as I am co...

Man, pretty corny video, but the message overall is pretty good, I couldn't stop drooling over their equipment in the backgrounds.... My homebrewing isn't at the stage a lot of their stuff was at, but I'll just keep dreaming. Some interesting points.... An est. 750,000 homebrewers in the U.S.? Wow. ...

Bastille Day - July 14th (Today)
So it's Bastille Day, and in honour of this french holiday I'm gonna avoid beer for the day and enjoy some nice cellard wine, eat some homemade fresh baked baguette, some nice cheese, and come up with some sort of french themed dinner... should be good times. As we all know we can't drink beer in ho...
