Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

It's because they have such a limited supply. The guy I talked to said he was holding it back because he knew if it went on shelves it would sell out in a day and he wanted to save it for people who actually asked for it and thus would be more likely to appreciate it.

The Summerhill LCBO has a sampling bar, but I believe each sample costs some amount of money. And only certain products are available for sampling. I overheard someone sampling a wine at Queens Quay last week. It cost her 50 cents. --- When I was getting my Elysian they hadn't set up the computers ...

I've had these in the states and thought they were much better. The ones I got from the LCBO were just plain stale.

It seems to me that pretty much ever since Duggan left, Mill Street have been chasing the very light beer segment. I've heard it described as they stopped trying to make beer for me and started trying to make beer for my girlfriend. While obviously an unfair generalization, it does ring true a littl...

The Roman Candle I have has a second sticker on the back with the date, but that's also the only identifying label on it. The one on the front is just a generic Bellwoods logo, no mention of the particular brew or anything. It's possible they might be going with that system for the stuff that isn't ...

The 6 Immortals I picked up last night had a bunch of sediment that looked like it had sat for quite a while. It had formed into flakes/sheets, rather than being granular, if that makes any sense at all. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm not hopeful for it's freshness.

Bryden's on Bloor has a decent selection and they open at 12. It's pretty far west. Another option would be The Rhino. If you need to be in Mississauga though, why not just eat there? West 50 has 100+ taps to pick from: http://www.hiprestaurants.com/west50.html but I don't think they do much in the ...

Only one Belgian brewer on the list this year? That's disappointing. A surprising number of Brazilian breweries though, I don't know what to think of that.
