Well, I don't think it's so much "The LCBO" that's allowing it as it probably is just some random working holding a case for a friend. Which probably shouldn't be/isn't allowed, but whatever. True. My real point is that (to my knowledge) the LCBO has specifically prohibited stores from do...

Atrium told me all but 6 got snagged by one person first thing this morning. The other 6 are held. That was not correct. I was there at opening and there were 5 on the shelf. Those five went immediately, split between myself and somebody else who had been waiting. Clearly some more were put out by ...

I liked the BIA more than I expected to. If it had been fresher I might have liked it quite a bit!

Sorry if I have missed it, but do we have confirmation as to what exactly the Jacobins is? Hopefully the Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge (not a lambic), but it appears Bockor does brew a couple of lambic as well, so it's not clear to me. I picked up a bottle of the Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge on my last trip ...

My bottles have tasted great so far- looking forward to more becoming available. Between this, Sofie and Bellwoods, there have been some very nice saison options in Toronto this spring!

Went by today to pick up some of the Hefeweizen and Roman Candle. While the Roman Candle does not have 'bottled on' dates, the hefeweizen does. So hopefully the labeling will continue.

An LCBO employee I spoke to on the phone was under the impression that the only Toronto stores that were getting any were Summehill, Cooper Street and (maybe) Bayview. Not sure if that was correct or not, but it doesn't appear to have appeared anywhere else.

I just got back from picking some up. It looked like there were still three unopened cases, but it is moving quickly. Two other people were purchasing some in the few minutes I was there.

Wow. That $10 price has got to be a mistake, no? I have seen it for more than double that in the US.

Hmmm...there's a rumour/news that Ontario got 1/2 of the 210 cases (6 x 750ml) of 3 Fonteinen Oude Gueze Armand & Tommy. Just waiting for the labeling to be sorted. Or has this already been discussed somewhere? Somebody mentioned that the Oude Geuze was coming... perhaps this one instead (or bo...

Roman Candle just recently got a new customized label- the bottle you have must predate that, however slightly.

The fact that the dates are present on BYOD has me hopeful that the lack of them on WW and Witchshark was temporary. A good litmus test would be the new bottles of Roman Candle that I gather just came out.

Re: CHIMAY 150

I am starting to wonder if we are ever going to see this ... it was pretty bad, youre not missing much if you dont try it I thought it was one of the best non-sour beers coming out of belgium in a long time... them again I did not pay for my bottle, so that probably plays in it a lot. I also really...
