Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Lake of Bays Mocha Porter already out and about at a few stores, including Yonge + Finch where I picked one up today. Agree.. and as someone pointed out on drinkvine, it already has existing product entry of 222125. Not sure why there is a new entry with product number 222236. For the time being I'...

I'm hoping it goes through, but apparently the menu's mentioned an Orleans location a few years ago which obviously did not materialize.

Agree.. their food is quite good, especially the pizza.

If you are looking to save a little money, this will work fine for a single or dual stage temperature controller. http://www.mrbeerfans.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/213369/Dual_Stage_Temp_Controller_for.html#Post213369 You can go elaborate like he has with the box and the LEDs, or you can ve...

Your first couple of brews there's going to be so much going on process & equipment wise - that throwing in all grain might be a bit much unless you do a lot of home work or have someone experienced with you. Even then, it's going to be a lot to manage as you'll have more equipment variables whi...

Good list!

I'm really glad to see the 1845 back. It was available the first season I got into beer and I loved it.

Greg, thanks for killing the off topic posts.

I'll get the drinkvine release up soon.

Bar towel kicks a lot of ass in my opinion. It's elevated the beer knowledge for most of us farther than we could have achieved by ourselves, and it continues to do so! If you want it to be a positive culture - then act and post positively. If the haters are getting you down, skip their posts. If th...

I would second or third buying "How to Brew" by John Palmer. Easy to read, understand and get started with - plus it has a ton of detail which will keep you referring back to it time and time again.

ST IPA Clone

Does anyone have a recipe for a clone of ST IPA? I'm not having much luck finding one on the net.

I did some research into mosquitoes last year at the library. Here is what I found: * Studies have shown that mosquitoes prefer feet, then hands then the face. So cover your feet and ankles! * Mosquitoes have good vision and are particularly good at noticing dark colours. Black, red, and violet in p...
