I also had a taste of the 666 on tap at the Honest Ed's goodbye art party/beer thing in February. The GL guy pouring said they planned on bringing it out from time to time in small amounts.

Re: Zwanze

Well, no one *needs* a taste of Cantillon Zwanze, either. Glass and beer come as a package. You've made a choice. Others will have chosen differently. Fair enough. This used to sell out in minutes. Been days and still tickets left. Seems others share this sentiment as well. I wonder if a move to a ...

Re: Seattle?

I was there for a couple of days last year. Didn't do too much beer-focused stuff (was hard to keep the Portland momentum going), but I did spend an afternoon in Chuck's Hop Shop bar/beer store (the one on East Union in Central District east of downtown) on a lovely summer's day when they had a sour...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Private stores bringing out Bellwoods on their own sounds like something that would be happening, given a friend of mine telling me back in April that a few of Burdock's beers were showing up in Vancouver bottle shops (Ero, Brett Peach, Clean Saison), brought in in super limited supply by an importe...

Re: Godspeed Brewery

I still have no idea what to eat in this area. Yes Indian food perhaps, I find it hit-and-miss. Maybe not the (new) Via Mercanti, they do a gorgeous job of baking a super bland pizza, every time. Descendant isn't terribly far and worth the stop by. I wish you could bring in outside food at more bar...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Did anybody else pick up Mango Milkshark today? The line up was out the door and half a block up Ossington at 11am. Apparently Hafis was lined up out the door and the parking lot was a mess. They're expecting to be sold out around 2pm. I think this will be their fastest selling beer ever, which is ...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Its also safe to assume that Summerhill will get 1000+ bottles of this that will sit there for a while in typical Summerhill fashion since they aren't keen on transferring beer out and it's not a 'beer-centric' area of the city, no matter how much the LCBO thinks otherwise. IMO the only reason it i...

You can order their beers online, and they'll ship to you via Canada Post. Perhaps even more dangerous!

Re: LCBO Summer Craft Beer Release 2016

Did the Cuvee des Jacobins even get released? I dont think a single bottle came to ottawa I believe it may have been the first of the summer release to hit shelves, way back in early-mid May. There were a lot of them at the Toronto stores I popped in at, but for a relatively short period of time as...
