I say do it, what can heppen?! Get some Tex-Mex grub to go with it.
I didn't mind Interbrew Belle Vue, it was a terrific quaffer compared to other lightweight Lambics. This one can only be better, let us know.

I see what you're saying. I agree. I liked the 04 a little better but the 05 is good too. I would certainly say its a true barleywine. The McAuslan Vintage Ale is also a true barleywine (and world class). I dont think there are any other barleywines that are available/have ever been available here....

I must pine in and say that I MUCH prefer the 2005 Mill St. Barley Wine over the 2004. I liked the '04 too - I wouldnt say it was belgian-style.... No no no, I just meant the alcoholic bigness of the '04 with the hops felt a little tripel-esque to me, this ain't no tripel, backpedal backpedal... An...

They ARE low-numbered ( #98 ) and a dead steal for a few dollars markup. The 2004 for me has a pleasing Tripel-like solid feel, albeit with flavor overtones being more all sweet-doughy English vintage ale. I felt it more integrated than the 2005 - the '05 seemed less pleasing at time of bottling, ye...

...Mill Street Helles Bock?...Is it a true bock? Bock : Deep copper to dark brown in color. Medium to full-bodied flavor. Hop flavor and aroma can be light to non-existent. Pretty loose definition, and in practice there seems to be a lot of style range for 'single' bock varieties, as there is with ...

Belgian, I don't buy that either. US microbreweries tend to have a limited distribution (often within a single state). The size of the GTA alone is often more population, let alone all of ontario. Sure, but Toronto is a freak in general Canadian terms, overall in Canada the population spread is vas...

///// Imagine a US brewery with Mill Sts line up. Would they be considered impressive for 'daring' to offer a <gasp> barleywine? No but compare apples. There's TEN times more American people, they're all much closer together, and America doesn't have such a regulatory broomstick up the rear either....
