There's not many 6 packs left under $13, it seems most have gone up a dollar recently.

Maybe larger format, I think the Summer Saison has new packaging (650ml) out of the brewery. I hope not. I don't like the fact that everythign seems to be moving to bombers. Do the breweries make more selling bombers? I wanted to get a bottle of Amsterdam Framboise, $11.95 for a bomber is too much ...

I have 1 Willamette and 2 Cascade. Moved to a new house last fall so they got transplanted, both are growing slowly. I'm not expecting a lot from them this year but did have great harvests the last 2 years. A couple plants didn't survive the move. Would really like to get some Centennial and Chinook.

I don't think that's a fair thing to do.

icemachine wrote:Most grocery stores sell single cans of pop as well as 12 packs, or single bottles of Gatorade and 6-packs of the same.
You pay a much higher price per unit to buy a single can of pop vs. a 12 pack.

Are people willing to pay $4 for a single bottle from a 6 pack that costs $13?

I can survive without the LCBO. With a baby on the way I've been stockpiling homebrew for a while now.

A strike would help out our local brewery (The Publican) as their retail store will still be open as usual.

Might be me.. I have 3 cases of it. I don't know why, but I don't believe that this will be a general listing at the LCBO and I feel compelled to stock up while I can.. Alright, who's hoarding the Founders in the west end of Ottawa? :P Been to 6 LCBO's in the last few days that listed it in stock a...

I think a lot of craft beer is really good value, some prices are not much different from some from the big 3. Even the recent IPA release is priced well, I would pay more for some of them, however others I will only buy once to try. But my original point is that some prices just make no sense to me...

Lots of factors go into a retail price. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. As already said, there are lots of other options. It's called free enterprise and consumer choice. Get over it. Woah nothing to get over here. Just asking questions, having a discussion, and trying to learn a bit. Re...

A really good point was brought up... If people are buying it at that price, then you are telling them that it is priced correctly.. to play the devils advocate here... I am sure their costs all vary widely.. Shipping costs, supplier costs, staffing, etc etc. I think its hard to make blanket statem...

I do homebrew, but also like variety. Can't just drink from the same 4 kegs all the time.

Who does buy those Lake of Bays bombers? Will we be seeing the overpriced breweries go out of business? I can't see the LCBO re-ordering beer that just sits on the shelf collecting dust.
