Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

I really don't mind the IPA at all, I think it's solid. I polished off a few 12 packs last summer. Endless is typical session IPA, thin bodied, but nice and fruity. I really disliked the honkers, much different than I remember it being after having in the states a few years back.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Over the last little while: TDD L'apocalypso IPA on tap @ baker St station-very tropical, tones of melon and citrus, some grassiness, quite dry, although a touch thin. Excellent beer overall Elora brewing lady friend IPA- also on tap @ baker St- a very forgettable beer, nothing memorable other than ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I'll chime in on the CA beers. I had the mix pack a few days ago with the Gose, Hefe and Papaya Saison selections. The Gose was good, the hefe was very nice and the Papaya Saison was a friggen abomination. It was so bad I had to go trick my wife into having a sip so I wasn't the only one suffering ...

Re: Radical Road Brewery

I really enjoyed the first glass of canny man I had.....by the end of the bottle I realized it was too much to try and tackle alone, in one sitting. It was a bit of a struggle to finish it. Tasty though, as was the wayward son

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Bons Voeux is coming in 375ml bottles for the holidays. Nice! I picked up one of the magnums a year and a half ago out of curiosity, but it's been sitting in my cellar all this time. You need the right type of event and company to commit to cracking 1.5L of abbey tripel. Maybe I'll hold off until t...

Re: Brooklyn Lager, Local 7 West Coast Lager

I'll agree with you, Brooklyn lager is by far one of the tastier lagers I've had. Distribution around these parts is very scarce so don't have it as much as I'd like. Little Norway is shit, as far as I'm concerned. One of the worst beers I've had in a long time

Re: What're you drinking right now?

The past week or so: Barncat saison-really nice stuff, barnyard kind of funk to it,nice and dry and lovely flavours. The best Ontario saison I've had, and one of the very few that doesn't just taste like a wheat beer to me Elora brewing, elora borealis- a very decent pale ale, nice tropical flavours...

Over the past week or so: McAuslan St. Ambroise Collection Barrique Scotch Ale 2015. (Excellent!) Boxing Rock Craft Jack English Ale (Stank of rancid egg whites... yuck!) Garrison Nut Brown Ale Epic Big Bad Baptist Royal City Lock Stock in A Barrel (Quite nice, winey, mellow oak. My favourite from ...
