I wouldn't say this forum is for Beer Snobs at all. It's for people who appreciate good, tasteful beer! If you have ever tried cooking with beer then you will know that, YES, you can taste the difference between a Guinness Stew and a Lakeport Stew, you would even be able to tell the difference betwe...

Last nights Beer Buddies was about cooking Beer-can Chicken. they mentioned it was best to use a light, but hoppy beer. Their beer of choice? Blue :o :o :o :o . I can't actually comment on Blue being hoppy as I won't allow it to pass my lips, so can anyone tell me if it is a light and hoppy beer. I ...

Beer Basics
This show is just so darned funny. Yesterday's show was about German wheat beers and they had on show Hacker-Pschorr Weisse, Big Rock Grasshopper Wheat beer and Delerium Tremens. Now, as far as I could see only one of those is German! One is Belgian and the other can hardly be classed as a Wheat Bee...

Glad to be of service. Though one word of warning; The Feathers gets really, really busy on a Friday afternoon from about 4pm until about 6.30 because it's a favourite hangout of the local teachers. They just take over the place after a hard weeks work at school and take every table! Get there befor...

Re: Adjustments
That said, where does one go for a 'cheap' pint (or pitcher) in this grand city? The Volo, Monday nights, $4 pints, and very reasonable all other times. The Feathers on Kingston Road charge $5.50 for a pint of Wellington County Cask Ale, and it's always in tip-top condition. Maybe C'est What, too. ...

FANTASTIC! :D :D :D :D :D :D The whole atmosphere, beer choice and organisation would have put some UK festivals to shame! It was nice to see Ralph finally relax on Sunday and he looked like he was enjoying himself. Brava!!!!! Hopefully, the rumours regards next years festivals come to fruition as i...

I'm going to both days so I hope to god that it doesn't all go on the Saturday, but I only mentioned as a passing 'joke' coz I have a feeling that the Saturday is going to go real well, and a lot of beer is going to be downed. I've been to a few festivals in the UK where even on the first night, if ...

Ralph mentioned last night that Saturday has now sold out. He's kept a few back for some pre-orders and people he knows can't get tickets yet, but it is officially sold out. It's gonna be nice and busy that day!! I wonder if there will be any beer left for the Sunday tastings?? I also like the idea ...

From what Ralph mentioned over the weekend it's going to be $15 entrance fee, this includes 5 tickets for your beers. The ales are going to be served in 10oz glasses and will cost $3 per sample; the choice off having a pint may be offered too. So, as you can see Ralph is not holding this wonderful f...
