Re: Online Brewery sales

How is delivery handled for these? ie) Someone over 19 has to sign (yes?) so do they deliver in the evening, or leave it at the post office? I can only speak for someone that lives in a condo with a concierge / front desk. The couple of times I've gotten a delivery, it was during the day while I wa...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Stopped by GLB on the way home. Just had an Octopus Wants to Fight (solid as usual). Onto Grimace's Tears which is much better than I remember it being last year in the generic can/label; subtle and pleasant strawberry finish, nice creamy mouthfeel. No overpowering sweetness whatsoever. Funny can ar...

Re: Online Brewery sales

So far, just Half Hours on Earth a couple times since they're just way too far to commute to. Went well both times, no complaints at all (and amazing beer obviously). I live near GLB right by the Gardiner, so all of the Toronto breweries that ship are easily accessible for me. Not the biggest Sawdus...

Re: Witchstock 2018

Gonna pass on it this year too. Aside from the price, just the fact that so many more tickets are available turns me off (crowd level last year was perfect), even if they somehow create more space this time around. It's pretty much guaranteed that Volo will end up with a bunch of kegs from some of t...

Oh yeah, totally forgot about the Roman Candles cans too.

Nope, only at Witchstock last year and a couple times shortly afterward. Think it was just Witchshark, Jutsu and Cutting Bells...?

Re: Buffalo NY - what to see and explore?

Nothing exciting, but that's a big step up from the Genny Cream and Bud Light days... Compare that lineup to the draft options at Wild Wing, Real Sports, Jack Astor's, and other Canadian equivalents to Anchor Bar and it looks pretty damn good to me. Also a reminder that we still have a ways to go h...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Garrison Juicy DIPA- wow.......I don't think I've been lied to this badly by a beer before. Claimi g to be an east coast IPA, dank, tropical,Juicy and hazy. Absolutely not! Hazy.....damn it's pretty similar looking to an adjunct lager. Dank, nope. Tropical, ok yeah I taste a tiny bit of mango. Juicy...

Would have loved to go to Godspeed earlier (still haven't been; seems so far when you live in Etobicoke). Will likely head to Volo in the next couple of hours and hope all variants are still available, and that it's not packed.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Just had a Lone Pine by Sawdust City for the first time in a long time (LCBO purchase; month old can). Crazy to think that this west coast IPA style is now the "old school" thanks to the NEIPA craze. So much has changed in a couple years.

I thought the pale ale was decent, but tasted a little metallic. Much preferred the gose and stout.

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

Anyone know anything about the Omnipollo Zodiak IPA canning dates? It says 6/25/2018 on the bottom, so obviously they are best before... but I'm wondering if anyone knows how far out the cans are dated from the canning day. Six months? I haven't had it yet because it hasn't been around my hood and ...
