Re: Arabella Park Beer Bar - Kitchener
So very excited about this place. Their pics on FB/Twitter look great. One great thing about the KW area right now, pretty much all non-chain restaurants that have opened within the last 2 or so years have really put a focus on local craft beers. That being said, I still find myself only going to th...

Rat Queen is now sold out. Went to pick up another bottle or 2 but they sold out last night.
Left with a bottle each of In the Beginning, and Cat Factory, both of which are fantastic.

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread
Currently drinking Bobcaygeon Common Loon, not a fan, but just realised it was canned in June. I suppose I would give it another chance if it's fresh, but right now, there's not much there but malts. I also had cans of Bench Ball's Falls, and Redline Clutch. I much prefer the both of those. All that...

Re: Block Three Brewing St. Jacob's
The Raspberry+Ginger Fickle Mistress is on tap at the Bent Elbow. It's not bad, but I preferred the version without the raspberry and ginger. However, I'm very picky with certain fruits in beer, raspberry being one of them. I'm finding the raspberry to be a bit cough medicine-like. very odd. cherry...

Re: Block Three Brewing St. Jacob's
I've had Fickle Mistress without the Rapsberry and Ginger and thought it was pretty enjoyable. I'm hoping The Bent Elbow gets it on tap for me to try. I don't remember if I've had Stratus Fear or not, I haven't checked it in, but that doesn't necessarily mean I haven't had it. Noon on a Weekday is p...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
aside from the stone's (which no stores near me have yet), it feels like a bit of a lull right now in the lcbo beer dept. aside from replenishing some IPA's for fridge stock, there's not much interesting to warrant a trip to the store I feel the same way. I go in and take a look, and generally it's...

Re: Arabella Park Beer Bar - Kitchener
Some more info . Looks like they're getting closer to open. There's a Stillwell connection, though I'm not sure how much, originally heard it was Stillwell opening the bar here. The article says they mentored the father-daughter owners. I'm looking forward to another beer-forward bar opening here. T...

I was talking to a bar owner friend and he's under the impression licensees cannot purchase stuff online to sell in their establishment. Anyone have any more I info on that?

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge
Hey I'm curious.
If I open a growler on a Friday, and give some to a friend who doesn't try it until Tuesday, will the hops taste "dated"? If so, my "friend" would be a fucking asshole to rate that, right? Then again, I guess most people already know he is one...

Anyone know if they're going to keep doing the House Ales thing?
Yes they will be. On a larger scale then at Volo.

Re: LCBO Online Ordering Launches
http://boozewatch.ca/virtual-store?id=244376 Looks like someone ordered a case of the Porter Baltique 2013 and returned all but one bottle? Also my order took exactly one week as well. No LTM beers, just regular LCBO stock though. Nice. I may pick up a bottle or 2 if there's anything else decent at...
