Keith's and Oland family recipes to be shared
Just got this email from someone at the Dalhousie Archives: The Dalhousie Archives will soon be finished with a project to describe all of the business papers of Oland's and the personal papers of the Oland Family. There are some real gems, including blueprints of the Bluenose II, photographs of the...

f-k that, those are 'halfs' or at best around 350 ml glasses. They cannot afford to short serve customers. I will stash a 500ml measuring cup in my knapsack the next time I visit. And I will have my digital camera which shoots nice video... soon to be a viral sensation on the WWW!!! Are they advert...

Most American states are far more friendly to singles hunters. I think this oversimplifies - most states allow individual stores to make the decision, and there are many cases where those individual stores don't allow you to break up six-packs. Meaning you imply that most states don't allow bottle ...

I randomly grabbed a few Picaroons as I was passing through Sackville to Nova Scotia and I tried the Yippee, loved it! I would love to see it here. If you go to their web site, they have quite the interesting log book for their batches. They also have a nice social networking site that's sort of li...

I think the best solution for you guys is to take the free cartons at the LCBO, and leave full boxes of empties right on the street so that rubbies and teenagers can bring them back to TBS for you. Then TBS workers have to recycle the boxes as well, because they need the exercise. Here in Halifax i...

When I visited the brewery a few weeks ago, I was told that last year's John By was actually 8.5%, despite the label reading 6.7%. There was just some sort of mistake (either by the LCBO or Scotch Irish). By the time they realised this, most of it had already been sold so there wasn't much they cou...

But who could actually buy the LCBO? It has six hundred stores. The price tag I would think would be in the hundreds of millions. That would really limit the number of players who could even consider such a thing. If they sold the LCBO for only hundreds of millions, McGuinty wouldn't get out of Ont...

Re: Make Work Project for the Banks
Should anything actually come of this, I'd bet that OLG and Hydro-One are sold before the LCBO. For those hoping for the latter get yer lucky rabbits foot out and start rubbing. I find it amazing that there is greater political will for provinces to sell off their Power and Hydro companies before p...
