Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I was at Brouwerij Lane in Brooklyn a few months back and was blown away that you could either (a) drink draft or bottles/cans in the bar, (b) get a growler of any of the drafts to go or (c) buy any of the bottles/cans to go (including Red Racer Imperial IPA, which simultaneously impressed me and pi...

NYC - places to eat? Good beer also helps

Looking for something in Manhattan. Someplace with a nice (i.e. romantic) vibe. More interested in good, unique food than an impressive tap list (we'll be hitting the beer places too, just need some recommendations for a nice place to eat).

FS: Corny kegs, 50L keg and 20 lb CO2 tank

Clearing out some homebrew gear for a project that didn't happen.

I have 3 corny kegs, seals untested. $40 each.

I have a 50L keg (top intact, uncut). $50.

The CO2 tank is $100.

Prices are firm. Pickup in east Toronto.

Please PM if interested.

This one was a disappointment. I remember liking it on draft but the canned version was pretty meh.

A Saison by Unibroue? Don't need to know more, I'm in! ;)
I wouldn't rush out for it. It's pretty darn dull.
+1. One of their lesser efforts.

Arch Brewing Dinner Jacket O'Red

Tried a can last night. I was disappointed by this one. Maybe the 60 IBUs quoted on the can raised my expectations, but I found this a bit thin. It was bitter, sure, but really lacked complexity and was on the sweet side. Reminded me of Dead Elephant in cans (without the cigarette off-flavours).

There's something wrong with this beer. Lots of floaters in the can I tried and the flavour... ecch.
