I stood in front of the Trafalgar line-up at the Leaside LCBO this morning for a good 45 seconds, thinking back on this post. The (slightly) improved labels might have had me thinking about buying a bottle or two a week ago. Your post saved me the trouble. Thanks Groulxsome!

As of 11 AM this morning, GLB still had a few bottles of the three flavoured Harry Porters. Only a 4 or 5 each of Raspberry Fruitcake and Cherry Hoarder in the fridge when I left. A few more of the Bourbon Vanilla. Not sure if they have more, but doubt it. Also, still some Last Vestiges of Winter, a...

True....I was tempted to grab a cat lady as I haven't had it in a long time...good selection there for sure. But I'll wait to spend some $$ there when the special anniversary bottles come out soon. I am also curious to hear what ever happened to Blitzen 2014...as they said it was in the works...but...

I would agree with your preference. Although Karma Citra is brewed to be an IPA, while the Monogamy brews are APAs. Not that there is always an easy or obvious distinction between the two styles. True enough, and the style difference probably explains my preference more than any other factor. As an...

Trou de Diable Punkrauch. Clearance at Crossroads. I didn't expect to like this as I couldn't finish the only other rauchbier I've tried (Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen). But I am enjoying this. I found it under-smoked for my liking, but then I'm more used to the Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Mär...

It is refreshingly progressive to see someone looking to focus on international exports rather than on the ubiquitous "drink local" myopia that has a hold over so much of the craft scene.

I visited Louis Cifer this past week-end with some newer to craft beer friends. The place was only sparsely populated at around 2 PM on Sunday. It picked up as we ate and drank with a very large party taking over the upper level. Like a previous reviewer, I felt the wait staff to be a little too int...

Had the IPA at Louis Cifer on the week-end. I think it was $9 for a 16oz pour. Price aside, I thought the beer was great. I was with 3 friends who are just getting into beer, and each of them preferred the Red Racer, but still enjoyed the Stone. Perhaps a little too bitter for their recently de-virg...

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out in finding a half-decent place to grab a beer near Vaughn Mills? Even something further south and as far south as Yorkdale might work, say between Bathurst and Jane? I'm trying to find a decent place to meet up with a trading partner who is comi...

Long Dark Voyage is only overpriced if you don't get a lazy LCBO cashier who scans the same Lone Pine can 6 times despite the fact half your cans are Long Dark Voyage.

To laziness!

There is a guy on Beer advocate that has a thread up today about a bunch of Thomas Hardy 1985 that is available to him. He is gauging interest if he acquires the lot. Take a look and shoot him a message.

What would be your example of a handsome Toronto bar? I rarely sit at the tables either in the front or back preferring the bar and I like that space. Feels comfortable to me. I'm with you. I've only ever sat at the bar and I like it. I usually go for lunch on a weekday when it is never crowded. I ...
