Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

... I've scanned in all the forms and made them available here: http://www.inertiaboy.com/privateordering/GreatDividePrivateOrder.zip Cool. Just a dumb question: I take it if say we were ordering an Oak Yeti and a Titan, we would use the applicable order form/forms (in this case order form page one...

(Rant alert!) I think there's something missing here: Most people who buy beer in bottles buy it at the Beer Store, a huge-volume outlet. A tiny amount of bottled beer appears as niche-market LCBO beers, so these aren't a real problem especially if recycled. So why does it make sense to target this ...

I like Wunder Weisse and would be ham dappy to try it on draught, in fact I'd take it any day over Hacker-Pschorr or Erdinger. The Altbier intrigues me, we havent had any 'Alt" (=german for Old, indicates it is an ale which pre-dates the now popular bottom-fermented lager in Germany) for some t...

Re: Open Letter- J Public to the El Cee Bee Oh!

Peter, screw it, if they mess with this situation any more I will buy all my beer directly from you rather than support these LC freaks. Or I will shamelessly drag it across the border. It's unacceptable. either way the LC will still get their cut...they're like a communist mafia. They WILL get the...

Gary, I believe if you compared the Molson Export made in Quebec to that made in Ontario, that you may find that Molson or Labatts can indeed brew a conrtrastingly more palatable brew. It would seem our eastward neighbors have a higher general food-and-drink standard, which I feel explains the clean...

Open Letter- J Public to the El Cee Bee Oh!

Peter, screw it, if they mess with this situation any more I will buy all my beer directly from you rather than support these LC freaks. Or I will shamelessly drag it across the border. It's unacceptable. I only hope the LCBO's perpetually dismal selection practices put them at great risk of financi...

Last I checked, the Communist Party was not in power. Why do we still have the LCBO? What's the point of electing capitalist governments if you're not going to get capitalism? Time for a coup. Yeah - and lets get rid of that pesky socialized health care system while were at it! :-) -Josh If we had ...

This type of beer really benefits from drinking at room temperature or not much under. So many qualities come out (esters, Northern Brewer bitterness, malt quality) that are lost in the beer when chilled. It is light, yes, when cold, but sampled warm all its qualities come out. See, this kind of us...

They begin walking under the grey skies and see nothing but crumbling apartment buildings. There is an old grubby man washing himself in the street, babies crying and a dog with a human hand in his mouth. One of the characters mutters "Sweet mother of God, we're in Eastern Europe" Hee hee...

BUT. The way to go about that is to open the beer business up to the free market. The LCBO is sort of doing this by cutting brands that aren't selling. The problem is that they are not offering an alternative. It's their way or the highway. Right, as a fat monopoly cruising on tax revenues, they're...

Both BC and Ontario produce decent wine, so I'd assume that we have some regions with appropriate climate and soil conditions. Weeeelll you might say we're starting to produce some good wines in select areas of Canada and BC... Just because we've finally got one or two good Pinot Noirs and white ic...
