Re: Cask Days 2017

First time attending in 4 or 5 years, and I remember why I stopped going. It's just too crowded now. I guess Saturday is the new Sunday, half the beers were gone by Session 3. I love the Brick Works and still enjoy the event in the sense that it's quite unique compared to other beer fests, but I ca...

Re: King Taps - First Canadian Place

Agree that this place is a haven for douchebros. However, if you go on Sunday the rotating taps are $5 which is basically half the taps on offer. When I was in one of those taps was Jelly King. And the pizza wasn't half bad. As for the small pints - how are these guys any worse than Godspeed chargin...

Re: Godspeed Brewery

I had to wait about 20 minutes. And hey, John Tory was there!

$3.75 per 355ml can. Bit steep.

Interior space looks nice. Three picnic tables on the patio. That'll be the premium space on nice days.

I heard Bim say they hope to open fully on Wednesday.

Re: The Ontario Craft Beer Guide 2

Left Field has definitely upped their game. Yes, the bombers are pricy (though they had that 4-pack of IPAs a while back for $20 that was a good deal). I live nearby and it's a nice spot to relax and sample what's new - and you can bring food and your kids. Very pleasant on a sunny day. The Le Voisi...

fyi, that's individual bottles, so only actually 18 calendars left
There were 47 left on Tuesday when I ordered one.
Two of those were me - one that Canada Post damaged and the one that is replacing it.

There's a new mix 6 from Muskoka at TBS. 6 tall boys for $17.95. 6 different beers including one new one - Kirby's Kolsch.

Dieu du ciel St. Jerome location - worth visiting?

Going to Montreal later this momth. We typically visit DDC on Laurier, but wondering if the St. Jerome location is worth checking out. Specifically, do they sell any bottles for takeout that are unavailable in a decent dep?

First time tapping a keg - advice needed

I bought a 1/6 BBL keg at Southern Tier for a party this weekend. Can I tap this keg with one of the taps/pumps from the Beer Store?

Re: Southern Tier/Lakewood Trip?

So it looks as if I'm finally going to be in the Lakewood area (only 4 years after starting this thread!).

Any suggestions on stuff to do in the area? Places to stay that aren't in Buffalo?

Anyone brought a keg over from NY state lately?

I'm thinking of bringing a 1/6 BBL keg back from NY state for a party. Hoping to get one directly from Southern Tier. Anyone here dealt with them or any suggestions for good kegs (Stone, etc) in Buffalo?

Also, any issues getting your kegs into Ontario?
