Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Sounds like hyperbole to me :) I would be interested to see if anyone who is not from Ottawa has tried this and finds it comparable to HT :) We all have our local biases, so I am not picking on you. I have admitedly not tried anything from these guys so they could be the next Hill Farmstead for all...

Well, I have 2011 Abyss and KBS, but I don't want more Westy 12.

I'm going to be in Van, and Portland over the next few weeks, if they have Abyss and I have space in my bags, I'll grab you one, just pay me the cost.

Here's what I'm wondering. If I've tried other trappist beers like the St. Bernie's ABT 12, Westmalle, Rochefort, Orval, whatever...is the Westy 12 SO GOOD that it would immediately stand head and shoulders above all of these? I've had Westy 12 before, and in my opinion it's no better than Bernie's...

My personal ranking of the Darkness was: '11, '12, '10, '09, '08. The affectionately nicknamed Gillman was the best of them all. It was really interesting to see the point where the hops faded and then the flavour moved towards the sweet. I'd be curious to know if the recipe changed from year to year.

Response I thought I'd see from Belgian! I like it, I would love to see a picture from the guy who posted that.
A picture of the Westy or his credit card bill? :o
Maybe he did it for the monks?

But do you have 84 bottles?
No, thankfully.

If anyone has a 12 FT Zombie, or a 12 FT zombie dust magnum I will ISO that.
