Whose Hopping Mad
I was at a certain bar on the Danforth and saw four full cans together on the counter: three different Red Racer beers and something called Hopping Mad which I would’ve assumed was from the Granite but for the spiffy graphics. The bartender informed me that a rep had left the four cans and that the ...

Re: Murphy's Law, Queen East & Kingston Road
It's reportedly re-opening today at 6pm. A beer list is up online. It looks like the advertised "24 craft taps" include Guinness, Bud Light, Rolling Rock, Stella and Keith's although there is the promise of an unspecified number of "rotating seasonal taps" in addition to the 24 l...

Re: The REturn of Frank D'Angelo
I got invited to this screening through some well connected people that stop into my work on occasion. I think I should have attended: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/film/film-reviews/sicilian-vampire-an-uncomfortable-bizarre-trip-through-frank-dangelos-mind/article28939483/ If any of his stuf...

Murphy's Law, Queen East & Kingston Road
Murphy's Law is undergoing what appears to be an upgrade. Signs on the building advertise "24 craft taps" and "Friends don't let Friends eat Pub Grub". Re-opening in early March.

Re: Ontario Announces First Winning Bidders for Sale of Beer in Grocery Stores
This is more like it: Currently beer is shelved at the end of aisles in Loblaw store locations, with almost 2.5 metres of space devoted to the drink. Beer drinkers can expect the amount of space provided for the beverage to expand to 12 metres, with the inclusion of extra brands and refrigeration by...

I was at the Victoria Park Loblaws today. Two piddly end-of-aisle displays. Nothing refrigerated. What a cruel joke.

Re: Cask Days 2015
The most irritating I found was crowds of people just standing around near the pouring stations making getting around a pain in the ass. Agreed. It drove me nuts. This was the only negative thing about my Cask Days experience. Well, that and Flying Monkeys Ghost Bitch. I would've liked to have been...

Re: Is "Bim" opening a brewery?
This Toronto Star article from December 17 of last year reported that Sweetgrass was moving in to that building on the west side of Coxwell just behind the stores on the south side of Gerrard but nothing's been done with it and I saw a For Rent sign on it on Sunday. So has Sweetgrass bailed out?
