I've sent them a tweet about how much craft beer will be there! TBS charges a one-time listing fee (around $2600) plus a per-store cost (I think around $100). It can get quite costly to go province-wide. I don't believe they have any kinds of restrictions like the LCBO - as long as it passes the AG...

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5302/5637443183_6fc7d52dc2.jpg This could be interesting. Anyone know what the listing requirements are for the beer store? do you just need to pay the listing fee? or do you have to pass through the LCBO red tape still? Thinking that maybe 6 stores like this spaced o...

It would get rejected because the monkey would be seen as appealing to children. Can't have that.

would love to see this listed in one of the kitchener or waterloo beer stores. Maybe the one on Weber in Waterloo, or Victoria St. N in Kitchener

I for one plan to contact my local MPP and complain. The idea of the beer store is great, but it should be run by the OCB, not foreign companies. Then get rid of the high listing fee''s, and set up a distribution system that supports ontario breweries who are putting money into the ontario economy, ...

For what it's worth there was a phone-in about this today on CBC Radio One, Ontario Today with a minister from the McGuinty government (can't remember his name). The phone calls were overwhelmingly positive for these changes and most people said they didn't go far enough. Only one person said thing...

Let me know if you are still hitting Kick Off for lunch on Monday. I work not far from there and can swing by over lunch.

They don't have the kitchen open for lunch the times I have been there, but have allowed me to bring in food from neighboring restaurants in the past.

No specific plans right now, but would like to give something a try later this year, probably once the weather warms up again. Seeing the comments about pitching the dregs just got me thinking about all those good dregs going to waste.

If repitching dregs, can you cover the bottle with saran wrap and save it for some time before pitching it, without ill effect? I have a co-worker who likes to drink lambics he picks up on trips home to chicago a few times a year, but its doubtfull the timing of him drinking and me having something ...

I wonder with something like wesvleteren, where there are no labels, if listing the contents as belgian spring water/collectible glassware would prevent it getting seized. No way they could tell without actually opening the bottle and testing.

Same with the Northfield/king location in Waterloo. Just note that they have the 40 and 12 up beside 2 of the registers, and the others back on the rack with the other seasonal release beers.

Picked up a 40 and a couple of 30's. Might still grab an 18 to try.
