Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

While I enjoyed it, I thought it had a thin mouth-feel. Can't see it aging well, but would be happy to be wrong (and have someone else put the point to me with a glass).

Out of curiosity, what would you consider proper age for a Samichlaus? I've a few with a couple years on 'em now.

That would be Irish. When it comes to Scotch, I've found Abelour to be well rec'd, and their A'Bunadh is a nice cask-strength whisky.

Ha ha....had been told yesterday by someone working the floor that there would only be 10 bricks, and so didn't hang around early this morning when I dropped by to find 10 ppl ahead of me.

I'd be pissed off if I weren't so sleep deprived. :D

Polishing off my (last?) bottle of '02 Fringante. As to be expected, next to no carbonation when compared to a new Unibroue ale, but there's no mistaking whose yeast is at work here. Had I known it was there, I would have been wise to open it a couple of years ago. Still packs quite the punch, but t...

The last time Skull Splitter came through ('97?), it sold way too quickly for my liking (translation: never got any), and I recall the LCBO rep claiming it was youngsters (?) buying it based upon the name. Never thought I'd have a second chance at it in this province. Glad to be wrong.
