Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Slowly thinning out the cellar some. Having a Old Crusty from '04, and later in the day will polish off my last of the '06 Liefmans Goudenband. Would happily stock up on both again.

so i should only buy 6 bottles of any beer because I assume other people will come in to that location to buy the rest? No; you shouldn't clear out a store. How is that not greed-head behaviour? and I should assume that a) no other bottles will be ordered, b) that someone wouldn't check other LCBO ...

meanwhile, we just bought all 24 at an east york location. the guy admitted they were leaked by accident. How nice of you  ; picked up 6 at Royal York & left another 7 on the shelves. Good spirits should go hand-in-hand with good manners, IMO. The Var Tripel was on the shelves there as we...

In no particular order: Samuel Adams Triple Bock -- still think postive reviews are only left by trolls. Skeena Brewing Wolfgang's -- on the bright side, I wasn't the one who paid for it. InBev Bass (nitro can) -- I finished my Triple Bock, but couldn't do the same with this one. Ugh. Molson Kick --...

If memory serves me correctly, the Lost Coast has been due in ON soon for the last 7 months or so. I look forward to it eventually turning up, but won't be holding my breath.

That might be the reason I'm not enjoying it much -- have really liked it in the past, but the current incarnation is very meh. Back to avoiding Creemore product for another year...

The best beer I've had for heat was the Peach & Pepper Ale from Great Lakes; I'd so love to have that one again.

I take it that the Morimoto Soba is no longer part of the Rogue promo?

Just finished my La Granja, and can't say I picked up much coffee, let alone maple syrup. Maybe I had an off bottle. *shrug* I'm happy to have tried it (and to have seen it in a 'BO), but there are much better local stouts to be had. Fingers crossed that the Barleywine will be more enjoyable...

Is there a specific beer or two that you are looking for? Personally, there is not a single Rogue beer that has impressed me enough to go out of my way to order it. I am curious if there is something I am missing... If you don't like a brewery, you don't like a brewery. I find most Mill Street prod...

Depending upon what sort of order we able to place, I'd be in for 5-6 cases, easily. That said, I wonder if this is not an idea best put forward in the Private Ordering forum early in the New Year, after the holiday debts have been (partially) paid off. If anyone's already contacted the new Rogue re...

Rogue is no longer represented by Esprit (praise be!), and is currently distriubted by the AFIC Group. Contact info follows below. One of the things that you might try doing in the future when you can't find a beer you really like is to try to place a private order through the LCBO. It's not always ...

My first, and probably last, Samuel Adam's purchase was the Triple Bock. If you've had it, you know that dreadful doesn't quite begin to describe it. I realize that the brewery must put out consumable product, but once bitten, twice shy. I did get a very big laugh just now though, as I've only start...
