Similarly, I fear these are one offs but they do feature hazelnuts:
Evil Twin - Imperial Biscotti Chili Hazelnut Break
Third Moon/Volo collaboration - Il Bacio Della Morte
Wellington - Compromise

Re: Do you ask for a ‘pint’ anymore?
I ask for a pint, taking it to mean a large glass whatever size that might be - force of habit.

Re: Pedal Pubs in Toronto
Rode one of these in Milwaukee. They didn't serve us beer, although they had space for supplies. Instead we stocked up ahead of time and drank what we picked up at each stop along the way. So no "serving" but plenty of "consuming". Truly the fun part is drinking while pedaling w...

Re: Stone City Ales in Kingston
Juggernaut is definitely not sour, usually it's a bourbon bomb. Either infected or possibly mislabeled. But I have been noticing things have not been up to snuff since Justin left. I did swing by and grabbed their IPA No. 3 they released today though. I had the same experience as you, only at C'est...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
St. Ambroise Russian Imperial Stout. Has this one been reformulated? It was a lot more wine-like with a lot less oak and particularly vanilla than I was anticipating. I thought I had been served the wrong RIS at first. Or maybe it suffered during the journey to Toronto. I hope to find this elsewhere...

Re: Sexism in beer labels in Ontario
People descended from Eastern Europe have commented on seeing Stalin's likeness on Bolshevik Bastard labels (also by NB...) and news from the West Coast would lead us to believe that the image of Sir John A. MacDonald causes offense to some. What of his likeness on Old Tomorrow labels? It is a bit o...

Re: Doug Ford
These are all fair points. The world is a more expensive place than when we last had buck-a-beer. With all this attention, and some of it does come off as condescending, I wonder if someone is liable to recall the tax breaks that craft beer brewers benefit from and start asking questions. For my par...

Re: Sexism in beer labels in Ontario
Isn’t this the Smashbomb controversy all over again? Someone doesn’t like a label, cries out, “Think of the children!!” and concludes no one else should see it either. I just want to drink my beer in peace.

Re: Doug Ford
I didn’t drink buck-a-beer back then and I’m unlikely to start now but I don’t feel the need to express my feelings about an election result by denying buck-a-beer to someone else. We are the exceptions here. Yes, it is a stereotype but beer largely remains the working man’s drink. Let him save a fe...

Re: Big Pint
I love it when chain restaurants branch out into craft beer. Why? I'm currently sitting in my local Jack Astors in Brampton (props to Barry!) drinking a La Fin Du Monde. When they asked if I'd like a "large" size, they poured it into a big 22oz glass..love it! The last time I ordered a be...

Okay those that have the advent box: What are you going to do once all the beers are gone? 1) return the whole thing to TBS 2) return the empties by themselves and recycle the box 3) return the empties and keep the box and make up your own for next year 4) ditto #3 and regift the box next year Last...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
new - Beyond The Pale Aromatherapy IPA - 473 mL can - $4.50 I'll pass at that price But it's more pretentious at that price! All seriousness aside this sounds like my kind of IPA, if it's in prime shape. It all depends - I don't by my art by the yard, after all. If it's good I'll bite the bullet, s...

Re: Samuel Adams Utopia 2015
Yeah in-store were given a glass, but I suspect the online/phone orders will be exactly like the last time(s) and you will have to email Moosehead (SA's Canadian distributor) to get a glass (unlike the US, the bottle wont come with a voucher). Email is shannon.mulligan@moosehead.ca Email kicked bac...
