If we're now talking Ontario beers that are no longer, I miss almost all that I tried from Heritage/ScotchIrish. Sure wish Kitchesippi would resurrect those recipes. Agree about Gritstone and Connors mentioned above. (edit: I'm remembering Connor's from when it was Connor's, not Brick. Recall liking...

When we went to Duke's Refresher for the ABV event last week, I noticed that their menu listed a "pint" at 10oz. On the one hand, it's nice that they listed the size, but on the other, 10oz is quite literally a half pint, not a pint. You should not be able to use the word "pint"...

Wow. I've been using that new Lickbo website to find 2 beers: Pumking and Funnel Blower. FB was listed at 1 store (Spadina) and Pumking-NOWHERE. Tried the "food and drink" link and voila, they're both everywhere. What piece of shit is that new website. Send a complaint with your details t...

Was at an event at Nickelbrook tonight. Sampled: Cause and Effect Pissed Off Pete's Pumpkin Porter Green Apple Pilsner Naughty Neigbour Equilibrium ESB Uber Berliner Style Weiss Enjoyed all. Green Apple was the surprise. Tried it many years ago and felt it too strong in the apple. Found it was more ...

Yes, interesting tactic.

There is nothing about "Guiness Blonde American Lager" that makes me say "I got to go get THAT".

We must all commit to complain to the lcbo via whatever feedback mechanism they have online... Unless they know it won't change. This has been discussed quite a bit in the "General" LCBO thread, and in an LCBO.com thread that someone later started. It is a total mess. Some of us have comp...

I really enjoy Kilannan Alt - a little hard for you to get being in Ottawa.

I can't really contribute to this in a meaningful way, but thought I'd mention that I had Kolsch that Kilannan was selling at the end of June and really enjoyed it.

Re: Forked River barrel aged sour tripel

Had it on tap at BarHop. Honestly, it was really, really, really great. as in: probably in the top 5 Ontario beer I've had this year. Perfect sourness. great nose. great everything. I'd rank it ahead of Snowball (Amsterdam) as far as a soured or BA Ontario beer. less complex and less funky, but man...

Fort Garry Big Buddha

From Canadian Beer News "Big Buddha is a 5% abv and 14 IBU ale infused with ginger and lemongrass, and described as “crisp and light and goes with whatever you have going on.”

Ginger and lemongrass flavours very nice, quite enjoying this.
