Once again I wish I could make it...but alas I will likely be on the west coast. Almost feel like buying one just in case I book work there around that date.

Judging by this review you didn't miss much beer wise. http://www.blogto.com/bars/no-one-writes-to-the-colonel-toronto The 4 taps are all St.Ambroise, which isn't a bad thing, but limited none the less. The focus seems to be on cocktails and hipster food. Not really a beer destination but certainly ...

Hmmm...while they claim you can do other styles it certainly looks geared to lager and pale ale at best...at least according to the video on their own website; http://www.williamswarn.com/ Though it does say this; With this system we have an "Advanced Method" which in the US is known as &q...

Worth the money?

So bizarre. This expensive machine appears to cater to the lager drinker who, in most cases, is not interested in craft. http://uncrate.com/p/2011/04/williamswarn-brewery-xl.jpg WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery Interested in getting into home brewing but put off by the complex, lengthy process? Red Racer only comes in the standard can size, no larger format available. The price of imports only matters if you feel the value of the beer isn't worth the price being charged. As has been mentioned, 6 packs of Red Racer sell here in B.C. for just under $15 which is $2.50 a can. The price you are...

Red Racer article

It's coming your way. This fairly mainstream article from the Georgia Straight gives some added details on the beer from head brewer Gary Lohin;

You will likely never see the better Granville Island beers in Ontario. Vern makes them at the pilot brewery at the original site on the island and they are only bottled in 650ml bombers. The expansion plan to Ontario, from what I understand, is to compete with the likes of Amsterdam's mainstream be...

Sounds like (and looks like, judging by the pics) everyone had a great time at the brew day. BIG thanks again to Mr.Lackey for getting on board early and being so instrumental in pulling this off. While the brew is quietly fermenting there are still a few things to figure out like; 1) I have a temp ...
