Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Wait, I work there. I don't think this will be possible. What was I thinking? You were thinking correctly! You can be the inside informant... Just buy less from them and more from other sources. Easy to do. Just think, one day, maybe maybe maybe you could own your own store...and hire the old lcbo ...

Not to be such a pest $, but again I'd rethink your logic. Returning your empties may be supporting TBS a lot more than buying your case of Mill Street or Magnotta there. so if nobody bought beer at the beer store, they'd still be around giving me 10 cents for my empties - but no longer selling bee...

Boycotting the LCBO-BS 2010

Yes, I'm going to almost avoid the LCBO-BS all next year. Well, maybe every couple of months to get a few seasonals.

So join me - or go finish your Miller Genuine Draft Light!

Count me as another that enjoys this one. First time I had it I thought it was sort of ordinary- you need to try it twice. Their beers really are impressive. Mocha Porter, dead guy, brutal bitter, the ESB, even that Keill's lager I enjoy. I picked up a shakespear stout in the USA, never tried it, lo...

You guys realize that the LCBO is still getting their cut on pub sales too, right? At least that's how it works here. Everything that's sold to licensees goes through the NSLC. Even if it comes from a private store the NSLC gets a cut as wholesaler. I think it's irrelevant to the boycott idea. The ...

Hartford

if you're in the area, downtown is City Steam Brewery Cafe http://www.citysteambrewerycafe.com/ I only got to sample their porter (a bit boozey) , the oatmeal stout (nice dry slightly bitter) and the ACAPULCO GOLD, an APA with nice amount of citrus to it. Next time I'm in town I will go back for a f...

Sales at my store were up 8% over last year on this particular day. You guys really made a difference. :) You lie! Propaganda to stop our glorious revolution!!! Ignore them!! for fun we should organize pickets on the downtown LCBO's and incite people to join us in the pubs instead. If I were less o...

Dropped in last night. Place is definitely nicer, food is better too. They have welsh rarebit, and bubble and squeak too - those always make me laugh for no reason...

Nice to see new carpet in there.

hey, who actually did this? I heard the LCBO almost shut down for good due to lack of customers! Billions were lost in revenue! My wife had the car all day, so I ended up walking to the Granite for a growler. Who's up for more? Friday Nov 6 to Sun Nov 8th! Three day boycott, and go buy beer somewher...
