I had given up on beer and degenerated to coors and busch lite until we moved near the bow. First time there I tried a cask beer and my faith in beer was restored. So I'll miss the bow.

I dropped in on the weekend and bought a bunch of Grand River's beers for the first time. The Curmudgeon is good, not super hoppy which is nice. I actually liked it better in bottle than on tap. I really enjoyed the Plowman's Ale, in bottle and what I've had on tap. Nothing else to say, go visit the...

I personally have no problem paying a little more for beer and wine and spirits -- the subject that seems to be at the root of many of the comments made thus far -- because it helps our society as a whole. I do mind paying higher prices. How about a high price store for you, and a lower one for me?...

The new PC leader says: 15. Will you commit to reforming the LCBO’s government monopoly? If so, please explain. Yes. I believe we must have more choice and competition in Ontario’s wine, beer and liquor sales. That’s why I have introduced Bill 7, the VQA Wine Stores Act, which would allow Ontario wi...

It is hardly a new pay grid. The only thing new is the top scale, which casuals prior to 2002, were not getting. But that has now changed with the new agreement. Now all casuals are able to obtain the top rate, based on satisfactory performance appraisals, over a 4-5 year period. hmmm, just quoting...

Let's remember that private sector and/or non union employees enjoy many rights and freedoms on the coat tails of unionized employees. Our society as a whole benefits from a 5 day work week (some only working 37.5 hours a week), benefits for most full time employees, and their families as well as p...

If I worked at the LCBO I would want a strike...to help bring in a private system. Obviously the LCBO pays enough, otherwise they wouldn't find workers. The problem here are the citizens of Ontario accepting a monopoly on liquor sales. Until people recognize that the government has no moral right to...
