Re: Samuel Adams Utopia 2015

Yeah in-store were given a glass, but I suspect the online/phone orders will be exactly like the last time(s) and you will have to email Moosehead (SA's Canadian distributor) to get a glass (unlike the US, the bottle wont come with a voucher). Email is shannon.mulligan@moosehead.ca Email kicked bac...

Re: Samuel Adams Utopia 2015

In past years there has been an offer for a glass to accompany Utopias. Is this in effect with this year's Utopias and if so could someone please remind us of the e-mail address the request should go to?

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Be careful when buying the Stone box, at least at Dundas and Dovercourt. It scans in as 3 whole boxes, so they need to manually enter in. I was shocked at first as I wasn't paying attention and was charged $130 for the box and some tallcans. It's quite obvious something was wrong, but if you aren't...

anyone know what the deal is with the Hop-It Tripel Ipa? It has been at the lcbo for a month now, but only the same 4 stores.. I can't figure why there is no distribution I ended up visiting TBS to get my fix. It seems more widely distributed through them. I found that I liked it much better on tap...

Possibly- the last time out I chose a busy store and they never did call me. This time I went for a quieter outlet and I was looked after very well.

Riedel Glass

I picked my bottle up on Friday. It comes with an e-store code for a free glass however the site notes, "Unfortunately at this time we are unable to ship items from our eStore outside of the U.S. We apologize for the inconvenience." It seemed that would have been the easier way but now I w...

Got a sixer at the Masonville location last Friday. The line seemed like good people, up until a gaggle of d-bags congealed out of the gutter and began breeding via mitosis. Did you find that people were letting others in line? I saw a bit of that. Also - not sure if I mentioned this, but some of t...

At Weston Road and 401 anyone I spoke with knew what they were there for. As mentioned earlier, someone did commandeer at least one road/construction worker to get around the one case limit but as best I could tell, the vast majority were "genuine". I wonder if there was a bit of a demogr...

A couple things, and sorry for the long post... Got one at Eg and Laird today (not proud of how early I was there but yet there I was at 6:00am) - my sister showed up an hour before opening but she was about number 80 with only 56 packs. Had I known about Avenue and Lawrence (not far away) I would ...

It seems to me that had they distributed this one (and Deus) in a manner similar to the way they dealt with Utopias in previous years it would mean less anxiety for potential purchasers and less time spent by LCBO employees on the phone. What's more, someone from, say, Perth or Vanier would have a m...

A while back in his e-newsletter, George of C'est What suggested a compromise. If I recall correctly, he proposed allowing bars/taverns to sell beer to take home. The reasoning is that you already have staff and owners accustomed to checking age, and they are very motivated to do so. I wondered if t...

And so I fear as a someone living outside of Toronto that my chances of laying my hands on this will be about the same chance as a pig flying. I think it will be easier to get outside of Toronto to be honest. Sometimes I don't understand their rationale for distribution; I've been told that Windsor...
