Not exactly a secret, but Creemore brewpub is going to replace the Beer Academy. Of the 5-6 times I've been there, I haven't tasted a single beer I'd liked. Total mismanagement of such a good space in my option. http://www.blogto.com/eat_drink/2014/12/beer_academy_to_be_replaced_by_creemore_brewpub/

I did go there when it opened for a quick drink. Was semi full on a Friday night. Younger crowd, maybe just to see what's going on. They did have quite a few taps, but some beers on the menu are missing. As for the name. it was a last minute change from what I've heard.

Looks like Jamie Kennedy will not be involved with the brewery after all. Too bad.

I was there again last night. Still plenty of work needs to be done. They are aiming for a late October opening. And will do these "popups" on the weekends as long as it doesn't interfere with the construction.

All in all, a good event. Good beers, nothing I had that blew me away, but I only stuck to things that I've never had. After a couple 14% beers, tastes get muddy anyways... lol My only criticism, is that Bar Hop should have cleared some the tables and left for more standing space. I get wanting to k...

I also was there last night. El Pinguino pretty much summed it up. Speaking with some of the staff, they did mention they will be bringing back some of the other Duggans beers in the future on a rotating/seasonal basis. The space is still under construction, but it's a large space. With more seating...

I went to the festival late Sunday around 4. Still fairly busy, but lineups were short. Talked to some of the local brewers, they said the fest worked well for them, but all I saw were only beer geeks drinking their stuff. Hopefully they got some good exposure to the casual drinker. The "World ...

Although not in Ann Arbor itself, I'd recommend stopping in at Merchant's Fine Wine in Dearborn. It's a well runned shop for Michigan beers and other American craft with a bit of International selection. I also recommend Zingerman's. Although there are long lines there on the weekends, so plan ahead...

Did anyone get a chance to try Bogus Journey? I was there from 4:30 to 6:30 and it was pouring up foam. Otherwise, great event. The Camp Out S'more Stout ended up being my favorite of the night.

Visited Ann Arbor on Saturday, these are my observations: Grizzly Peak Brewing - A little brewpub, not bad, but nothing special Blue Tractor BBQ & Brewery - Also a little brewpub, not bad, nothing special either Jolly Pumpkin - Quite busy, we sat upstairs. They make few different sours, all very...
