Magnotta Wunder Weisse

As others may have learned at Fort York, Magnotta is now bottling the Wunder Weisse. So far it's available only at the brewery outlet at 400 and 7, I was told. Great news!

I was down at the brewery today. They are not bottling this seasonal. It is available on tap at Pure Spirits (and Beer Bistro).

Mill Street Wheat

Had this on tap tonight at Beer Bistro. Very nice. Anyone know if they are bottling it, as they did with their other seasonals?

I remain convinced however that I'm more likely to visit Mill Street's or Black Oak's own stores to buy bottled beer than I am to go to the BS.
Mill Street is widely available in the Beer Store since their switch to the new packaging.

Pour on the iron!! Anyone who listened to Pirates games on KDKA in the 70s (the great Bob Prince) will be very familiar with that phrase. I can't make any comment on the beer though.

Bottles are only 250 ml though, so it's not quite as cheap as local micros. But a very good beer all the same, I agree. Took six up north during the heatwave last week and they were superb; wished I'd had many more (or a decent LCBO around).

Well, all I can tell you is my experience, which is that the Dry Hop is dispensed through a widget/sparkler. That has been the case each time I've been there. I have a hard time believing the widget is purely decorative. If it is, why don't they simply remove it? It undoubtedly serves a purpose and ...

It may have been there (Bayview Village) previously, but it wasn't there today. In fact, nothing at all from the release was there, and when I asked one of the helpful employees, he said "maybe next week". Rats! I've now gone to four different LCBOs in the past three days, no luck anywhere...

Yeah, agreed. I'm just curious to know what the thing is. If it's not a device associated with nitro (as it generally is on non-cask beers) I'd be interested to know what it might be.

Cerveca Patagonia

Anybody tried this? Noticed it in the LCBO today. And what is it exactly (i.e. who makes it)? Is it Labatt's answer to Marca Bavaria by any chance?

no nitro on those beers So you have said previously, but until someone gives me an adequate explanation as to why it comes out of a tap that looks exactly like a Guinness/Caffreys/Boddington tap (i.e. has a three-inch long black spigot or sparkler device attached at the bottom, where the beer would...
