Is trading beers via mail OK

Hi lads Thanks to online, I now have beer friends in pretty much every province.. A few weeks back for my birthday a buddy shipped me 4 fresh Messorem Crowlers from Montreal, delivered beautifully next day via UPS. Now we are talking about doing it again, this time I'd be sending him Badlands and Ba...

Re: Collective Arts

^ Agreed, and it’s definitely as you describe, a clear beer with big flakes all throughout. It actually looked shiny like a snow globe.

Re: Collective Arts

I don't mind the chunks. Often those batches taste better (ie Sparklepuff, Life In The Clouds) From what I've heard and my very limited brewing knowledge it's due to too much protein. Whatever, give it a swirl before you pour that last quarter! You'll be fine! I've been waiting to hear a definitive...

Re: Collective Arts

didn’t realize it was such a widespread thing. yeah, several peeps i've seen report it now and even post their pics on the chatroom I remeber when Sparklepuff was having the chunks as well, I got one out of 3 cans I drank that was chunky. Again, didn’t look great but tasted just fine. Hahah yeah?? ...

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

Yeah so something weird happened with the Proximity Effect. I drank my second Crowler tonight and it's WAY better, mellowed out etc. I don't even want to hijack this thread with it, but I mentioned it earlier tonight it's drinking like a totally different beer sorry to get off topic but is it possib...

Re: Strawberry Beers

I don’t doubt it would be pricey. That said, the prices on the imports from both places are very good when compared with other places. I have three US trade partners with standing requests for a bottle or two of any lambic I buy by the case. Lots of people group together to split cases here too. Ho...

Re: Strawberry Beers

They are very good with responses to questions and queries. They really are! I fired off an email and got a pretty quick reply out of them, informative too. They said the competition is fierce though and it's rare and expensive.. Damn! Check out Keep6 too. Same set up. The Importing wing of BarVolo...

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

Got it, love it. Shoulda grabbed more but I budgeted for North Works as well, a first try for me. The BarnCat stuff was definitely a step above https://untappd.com/user/konflict/checkin/887572029 I’ve got an extra 4 pack of 36” Chain if you’re interested. A friend a picked it up for bailed. Let me ...

Good info, and thanks!

I grabbed a couple of their Master Status IPA's as well, so if those are decent, even better!

I've never even heard of this, is it another website?

Re: Collective Arts

Heads up there’s defective batch of Ransack The Universe going around. Bunch of guys who I chat with every day bought the beer and it’s got tons of chunky separated parts in the pour. LCBO is aware of the problem though and giving gift card receipts no questions asked The last four cans I’ve had of...
