Re: Beer Coming to Grocery Stores?

anyone seen a beer at the grocery store that is not available at the lcbo/TBS? My local grocery stores seem to all carry the same old stuff. But I see product numbers for items such as these online: Collective Arts Project Black Ipa 473ml 459016 3.45 Beau's Elephant Monsoon 459008 7.95 etc are thes...

Re: Which LCBO Beers Do You Miss The Most?

I was just thinking about this beer today...Black butte porter. God how I wish the Lcbo would make this a regular listing The LCBO had a good streak with porters for a while there, add Black Butte to my list along with Arcadia London Porter, Anchor Porter and Smuttynose Robust Porter. I also miss F...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

For some reason it's still not on the LCBO site but I can guarantee that Octopus Wants to Fight is on shelves. I bought 4 cans in Welland yesterday. I bought four cans as well, Laird and Eglinton LCBO has stock. Canning dates are smudged and illegible though, I've been noticing that on a lot of GLB...

Re: LCBO Spring Craft Beer Release 2016

What's the cellar life of the Cuvee René? At only 5.5%Abv, is it worth grabbing a few years worth or should I just plan for summer consumption? Sometime last year I drank a bottle that I'd held on to for at least two years and it was great. Definitely worthy of aging. Strangely though the bottle I ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I recall trying it last year and it was quite good, better than Brutal in my opinion. Their best IPA, and probably my favourite Rogue product the LCBO has brought up is Yellow Snow, but sadly it hasn't been back for a few years. I've found the more recent Rogue releases to be pretty hit or miss, an...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Haven't heard about this one until I stumbled across it on the lcbo site. Looks like it's not in distribution quite yet. http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo/product/rogue-7-hop-ipa/405860#.VusgDnrHa9U I believe this came and went last year. I remember seeing it on room temperature LCBO shelves last year with ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Got some lake effect ipa at the lcbo today canned feb 8th. Is this a regular listing? No .I read the other day they just canned the last batch for this years Lake Effect. I'm thinking of buying a few to drink in the summer (perhaps longer). Looking for recommendations as to how long the Lake Effect...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I have to say I disagree about the selection of stouts at the LCBO. Bolshevik Bastard is extremely worty, and doesn't hold a candle to the stouts across the border. I don't even have a stout in my regular LCBO rotation, and I love stouts. I'd say Stonehammer Coffee Oatmeal Stout now fits the bill, ...

Re: LCBO - Fresh Stock Locator

Found some Nickel Brook Headstock canned 31 Dec 2015 at the Warden/Eglinton Smart Centre LCBO. It stuck out more than usual since it seems that the can wrapper is a new material (glossier, smoother vs. the older almost papery feeling wrap). The beer itself is also clearer and more filtered than I've...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Picked up Ransack at the Spadina/Bloor Beer Store, bottled 1 Oct. Shammmmeee I got a six pack of the same batch from the TBS. Very disappointed that the fist batch hit the shelves three months old. But I thought is was pretty good. Balanced and tropical. I'll have to try it fresh some time. I picke...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Lake Effect cans now listed under #445577, no stock showing... FYI I picked up a few cans yesterday at the Gammage St. store here in London... apparently they received them over a week ago but were unable to get them out onto the floor until a product listing was created which was apparently done y...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Is there any finest kind in toronto? I'm about to give up on it. Longtime lurker here, finally signed up partly due to actually finding Finest Kind(!). I can confirm I picked some up at the Donlands and O'Connor Beer Store last Sunday- they had two full cases at the time, website says there are onl...
