Dieu du Ciel Aphrodisiaque

Finally got the opportunity to have this at Beer Bistro ($11 a bottle). On paper this always looked like a beer I would like. Imperial Stouts are a particular favourite and love real Vanilla in anything. I didn't think they went together until I tried the Vanilla Three Floyds Dark Lord. I can say th...

After a self imposed exile from fine beers that I like too much I just cracked open an Orval with a brew date of 22.07.2004 and expiry of 22.07.2009.
This beer is NOT expired. Fantastic Belgian lacing and serious horse blanket aroma. The hop flavour is gone though that is for sure.

Very infrequently I enjoy a cigar. I try to get Cohibas from people going to Cuba or Europe where they are reasonably priced, unlike here.

Re: Southern Tier

I too am puzzled by the LC's choice of Créme Brulée over Choklat but I agree we have to join R&R in supporting their efforts every step along the way. I'm pretty sure this ST bomber won't bomb and we'll see others. True dat. Back on topic. All this talk made me look in my cellar for a chocolate...

Re: Southern Tier

... there is a ray of hope-Choklat is being considered for next year. Well that would be OUTSTANDING. I thought this would be a novelty when I bought a few. Boy was I very wrong. Outstandingly blended Belgian chocolate with imperial stout. I had 6 and am down to my last one and really want to drink...

Ordered a case into Yonge & 7 since they aren't getting to it themselves I should have gone in on it with you. That is my local LCBO as well. I'll probably just drive down to Bayview Village though. I picked it up at the Village a couple days ago. They didn't have a shelf label yet, and it was ...

Doesn't look like a lot of stock out there. A quick summation of the inventory on the LCBO web site shows only 241 six packs (40 two-fours).

I hope that is not all the stock for the summer.

Yeah, well paying a little bit extra to make sure I could get bottles I could stomach over driving all the way there and back and being empty handed. I know this was just a one year deal anyway as next year I'll be prepared to get the tickets. I was too wasted by 3pm to know what was going on so I d...
