Picked up two bottles of BNL at the Leaside 'BO today. There was a box of the BNL sitting on a cart (along with a bunch of boxes of Innis and Gunn Treacle Porter - of which I bought one) that was opened - nothing shelved yet. The website lists 12 bottles so that would be this box. The packing for th...

I went at about 1230 and picked up a pair, plus two regular Tempest and an Oktoberfest. Not sure have many were left at that point but it was looking rather thinned out.

Not sure where else to put this but as there is talk elsewhere about GL's Karma Citra coming to the LCBO: Went by the GL store today and they've got a bunch of bottles of Karma Citra available for Movember. Picked up two along with Black IPA, Vanilla Espresso Stout, plus found a bottle of Puzzler an...

And I'm back. The trip took us from Santa Monica to Malibu, then Big Sur followed by Monterey (where my little guy trick-or-treated), and then finally three days in San Francisco. Snooped around as we travelled at various places and brought back a few bottles: PtE RR Blind Pig Lukcy Basartd and Doub...

I can't overstate how great Sausage Partners are - time and again the best I've ever had.

And just put back a Yellow Snow - the bitterness overshadows the rest. I'll gladly finish the sixer but won't seek it out again.

Next up: San Franciso

Hi all,

I turn to y'all once again for some direction: we're tackling San Francisco and its environs in the next few weeks and would like some direction.

I've dug up the old San Fran thread and there isn't anything terribly recent.

Thoughts? Tips? Thanks!

I'm not clear on something: were the beers on tap just for the event or is Beer Bistro keeping some Rogue as a regular tap? If so, is it known which beer(s) is/are sticking around?

The total sale was just over $300 and the duty was $61. I'm certain that they did not look at bottle volumes but rather just number of units. [/quote]

I'm not entirely certain, but I'm pretty sure it was just based on the number of bottles as he actually sat there and counted them up.

A (stupid) Utopias question

Hi all, Funny situation: I bought a bottle of Utopias last December through the LCBO and brought it to a friend's (distant) place for New Year's. I had exactly one little taste of it and ended up leaving the bottle at his place. Skip ahead to tomorrow: I'm seeing him again for the first since the bo...

I meant that I bought the mentioned beers on eBay.

And eBay has shut down beer sales? I had not heard. A quick search just now shows stuff still being sold albeit much less than on previous searches. Hmmm...

I'm interested in what people have bought online. I've made two eBay beer purchases in my time: 1. Six Westies (Blonde x 2, 8 x 2, 12 x 2) ages ago once I started reading about beer. 2. Recently: a pair of 10th Anniversary Ruinations Somehow I feel dirty about doing so, although I'm not clear why I ...
