I don't believe Brick produced the Grand Cru or the Raspberry but it would be very disappointing if they hadn't used an ale yeast with the White. It was not available for a long period (mid 98 to mid 01) and was a seasonal only for the last two years. The total volume produced and sold was very limi...

Two ale products produced by Brick from a western brewer with distinctive flavour profiles and production demands. This will undoubtably change things at Brick which I don't believe has ever handled an ale yeast despite the products that they've offered.

Certainly McAuslin will benefit from the extra capacity but it also makes the truckloads to Premium Beer in Ontario fuller which makes it sound like a win-win-win for all three parties involved. Can they work it to eat into Stella marketshare? That is the question.

I couldn't respond to a person-to-person situation because I have done it before and never asked whether I was breaking any archaic law but I'm sure there would be something there originally sponsered by a local temperance union. On a commercial level, it is the cause of all the breweries that were ...

Out here in the hinterland, the Premier rep has dropped off a sample of the KLB Raspberry Wheat to my local pub. Unfortunetly, it was awful! Not just bad but yuck! I could discern a raspberry flavour but it was lost in wash of other off flavours. I hope he doesn't have a lot more of the same.

I think we have a junior version of E.P. Taylor/Canadian Breweries here (for those old enough to remember). The plant is closed, the equipment has been sold off and I have yet to figure the status of the brands? Why did they buy it? What will they do with it? Maybe they will build a massive stable o...

Frighteningly enough, not true! The system is designed to provide "an ice encapsulated foam head" whatever the hell that is. This truly may be the Frankenstein of the beer world. Perhaps we could form a Delta team and chopper over to England and lay waste to any pub that would even conside...

Borderline, I originally found the article through The Publican website which took me to: http://www.camra.org.uk/SHWebClass.asp?WCI=ShowCat&CatId=224 I hope this works for you. I also found a great article on new draught technology. Coors has developed a system that serves beer at -2 degrees (?...

I concur on your thoughts on the logic of the beer scene in England. The article actually painted a fairly bleak picture of beer consumption and retail trends. The issue that caught my attention was the accurate description of nitro-widget beers as rubbish not worth being considered as beer. To me, ...
