Wellington Trailhead Lager (blech) and a bottle of Maudite at Stout on Carlton near Parliament. Nice bar, decent local tap/bottle list. All of my co-drinkers got Spearhead Hawaiian, which in retrospect I should have gotten. Oh well.

I work very close to the Summerhill LCBO, so I could pick a few cans up and hold them for people to pick up from me somewhere in Toronto. Last time I checked there were still a bunch of cans there.

Re: Hart and Thistle: I haven't really liked the food I've had there the last few times I went. But they do brew their own beers and those have been good. Last time I was there they had two very hoppy beers, which were both quite good, if a bit too hoppy for me. I second Rogue's Roost, very much enj...

Beau's Festivale. Really like that beer. Probably my favourite of theirs, though the Screaming Beaver IPeh was also pretty good.

I'm going to be heading to Buffalo in a few weeks and had a few questions for people who've been there before. So far my plan involves hitting up the Blue Monk, which looks great, and going to Premier Gourmet/Consumers Beverages for beer buying. Are there any Buffalo-local beers I should look for sp...

Yeah, I brought a couple bottles home from Chicago a few weeks ago. The owner of the liquor store where I bought it was amused that I had to go to the states to buy a Canadian beer.

Had a half-pint of Grimbergen Dubbel at the Monk's Table. Apparently it got a Conditional Pass, so I probably won't be eating there again soon.

The Dubbel was really sweet, a bit too toffee/caramel sweet for me, not enough other flavours to balance it out. Probably wouldn't order it again.

The one Unibroue beer I wish we had in Ontario is Quelque Chose. Delicious cherry beer. I've only managed to find it in the states so far.
