I think that our very own Ontario Craft Brewers do a lousy job of putting pressure on our idiot Liberal gov't to de-regulate the retail sales of beer in this province. The Beer Store should not have a monopoly on beer sales at all. Why doesn't the OCB hire a company to put the word out to the public...

That cartoon could mean Ontario also. We have been behind the times since 1927.

1.078 is kind of high for a single sachet of Coopers. I would add two sachets and rehydrate it.

A bitter I made in late Dec. I got the recipe from Jamil's book - Brewing Classic Styles. I can taste the sour dough flavour, but it is too slight. Being a big fan of sour dough bread, I may up the % of Breiss Special Roast Malt. Other than that, I think it is a pretty good recipe. Yeast? S-04.

I bought a 12 pack last winter and thought it was a really good beer. You don't hear much about it. Maybe the American IPA'S get more publicity now a days.

This is why I make my own beer and only shop at the LCBO. I have boycotted the Beer Store for years now. Of course I have no proof it was them that complained to the province, but I think it was them. Another round of "Only in Ontario", pity...

Getting a used roller type mill may be a long shot. Usually homebrewers use theirs until it totally breaks. You can check kijji I guess. I will keep an ear out for one.

So, they brew extract with corn sugar? How can that be? This guy has 17 years brewing experience. I assume it is BOP experience. If this is the case, he won't last long. Heck, I brew all grain, it's not that hard.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I won't take a trip down to Trenton.

I still can't buy it in Peterborough. I guess I'll have to wait awhile longer. I walked out of the Beer Store with nothing :)

Too much corn, or that is what I got. It reminded me of the "free" beer we get in all inclusive resorts. Bargain basement beer. Kit beers taste better than this swill. What is this brewery worth? Millions? Maybe a billion? All that money going into commercials and nothing left over for mal...
