once people get a chance to sample these beers it opens up a whole new world...it's the same as realizing that you don't have to have only iceberg lettuce the rest of your life...

at the risk of my praising Esprit and nobody getting mad at fellow posters..good to hear there will be a return of the Brutal Bitter....look forward to it.

I think hoppy beers are sometimes like spicy food...once you have good vindaloo...you need your hops...nothing less will do.

the DFH 60 is a good beer...I just think the ST is better.

The 90 though is another story..almost a completely different beer.

Obviously, it's good to have both beers on the shelves.... but which beer do people prefer? After having a DFH 60 today...and then a ST.... I have to say that I prefer the ST. It's got more zing...more back end flavour. The 60 actually seemed a bit bland to me. And too much caramel taste. Good...but...
