Can't say what malt extract would be like in it.

Plan to re-test it with repeat visits. Honestly, this was the first quite tasty pint I've had there, and I've soldiered through a few. Hmm.

We pitched a lot of great UK and US stuff which was rejected and, as always, we're scratching our heads about the selection. Rest assured, I'm not a "special friend" of anyone at the LCBO...actually, quite the opposite in that I'm probably more of a nuisance to them. The squeaky wheel get...

Cask Dragon's Breath Ale

So I tried my first-ever Cask Ale today - Dragon's Breath Real Ale, in Kingston Brew Co. I never was partial to KBC beers, and I admit I was expecting some disappointing stuff in my glass, but this was QUITE delicious. The ratings seem like wildly different beers, do you think tihs is due to cask va...

Based on Mill Street's 2004 BW, I would be VERY interested. I found the 8-month-old MS version was really substantial and entertaining.

Granite is supposed to be THE hot poop now. For the sake of this thread, where are they for getting this BW?

If you have nothing intellignet to to contribute about good beer...shut the f$@) up.. Feel any better now? Sadly Corona is pretty bad but not even the worst beer people waste as much money on. I know people who will pay 12 BUCKS for a six of this stuff, which could easily cover a good import, or a ...

That sucks.

Down with monopolizing organizations. I think if things here were more freely 'American' Ontarians would be far hipper.

Peterborough is quite a nice beer town.
Kingston isn't bad, if you look around, not just for KBP stuff either - you have Queen's U kids drinking Wellington.

...hate to say it but with Molblatt's and Guiness likely being the focus, the micros will be lost and eventually dropped. Either owners have a passion for beer or a passion for profits...unfortunately, the two are sometimes mutually exclusive. As beer geeks we do get a little 'pie in the sky' about...

BOUCANIER beer, made for them by Van Steenberge.

The other VS box is not bad, it's there too - costs a dollar more. I wonder what similarities they will have from the yeast used, etc - you could probably do well with either one.

Last year with the Petrus gift pack I had a varying reaction to the beers there. I expect the same with the St. Bernardus and Holland packs. I'm finding though I'm developing a liking towards English and English-style ales. Like all new beers (and white wines) I sample them at different temperature...

I've only tried the Prior 6 so far. While I didn't find it revolting, it also didn't give me that "Hey this is good!" feeling. I didn't really notice the banana-bready undertone. Hey, our tastes have been pretty different so far... We all get something different out of beer, and I found a...
