Beer Prices

I just don't understand the price of some beers. Is it the brewery thinking they can charge more? In-efficient production? Volume? A point was made in the IPA thread about the price of Founders vs. Propeller. The beer that jumps out at me is Church-Key, both their ales are $13.75 for a 6 pack. There...

not trying to push my luck here, but it would be nice if the lcbo had set up these 'Love Hops - IPA Feature' things in one of the refrigerated sections of the store instead of a warm table. Especially considering most of the beers featured say 'Keep refrigerated" on the package. The displays o...

We brought 2-3 cases from Washington/Oregon trip across two suitcases and a box. They dinged me for $75 for a bag that was 3-5 lbs overweight. Meanwhile I could have checked a second bag for free under a promotion they had on. (Yes I am still bitter.) Mostly because if I had known I would have just...

Thanks for the updates. Looking forward to brewing this, have some Simcoe on the way. I plan to use US-05 but might get around to ordering WLP001 since OBK has it so cheap now.

I try to keep a case of Sleeman Original Draught in the house for people that refuse to try homebrew. It's cheap.

I've tried a couple times but the old site worked so much better. With all the other options now in Ontario I haven't shopped at CHS for a long time.

The kit from Ontario Beer Kegs is $105 for all that, or $170 with a tank. Add another $40 for a proper tap.

even the DIY cost of a kegerator scares me. that, and having beer. on tap. in my house. do you guys ever use your kegerator as fermentation chambers to control the temp (conditioning/lagering/etc?) I bought a used fridge so that helped keep the cost down. I was afraid of beer on tap at first, but i...

Maybe there's something wrong with me but I keep 4 - 20L kegs of homebrew on tap and each never lasts more than 3 months. Brewed a great Wit last summer that was gone in 3 weeks!

I started with a ketle that had no valve, it works but is much easier to have one. You can add one later with a weldless conversion, you just need to drill a hole in the side. For batch sparging I use a converted cooler. Changed the drain valve and added a manifold that filters the wort. If you are ...

Are they really selling or are the sellers just asking that price?
