Re: Toronto Brewery District
I understand the play on words aspect with "cask/task" force. Just can't stand the term and obsession with "cask" anything in the GTA. As for the Brewery District concept I was listening to a Toronto craft beer podcast and the co-host (who apparently owns or works at Left Field)...

Re: Detroit
I was in Detroit last weekend for the auto show. Had Slows BBQ for lunch - highly recommended. Solid beer selection and amazing food. 8 degrees Plato was impressive as well. Good selection, awesome knowledgeable staff. There was even a bottle of Fou 'Foune I spotted (which was reserved for someone)...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
I haven't been to Volo in a long time (because they suck) so I can't say if they've carried Bellwoods lately. At risk of derailing the thread a bit, care to explain why they suck? Just curious as I quite like the place for the most part. And I'm not sure about on draft (they do seem to have some fr...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
Bellwoods / Trillium Brewing teasing us with this tweet showing 2016 Skeleton Key and what appears to be Barn Owl #3. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CaAxaIcUkAAwF3Q.jpg:large I say Barn Owl #3 because the label colour is a bit lighter than the red of Barn Owl 1 (more like a peach colour, which makes s...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
^^^^ That post was from California. I assume they are both there for the RateBeer awards. Bellwood's and Trillium were both named Top 100 brewers in the world. http://www.ratebeer.com/RateBeerBest/BestBrewers-World2016.asp yet someone won't drive down from Markham because their beer's not worth it....

Re: Toronto Brewery District
Reekris.... why must everything require a label? Someone mentioned letting it be organic. Yes. Himel is typical of everything that is craft beer these days. New guys entering the scene with a brewery. Branding, publicity, etc are all out there before a drop is brewed. Holy F. If I can buy a shirt an...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
Glad to see arguing over the merits of one BRAND vs another are no different in the beer community compared to the whisky community. Beer is no different than any other BRAND in the economy. Pricing often has nothing to do with costs of production but with what fans of the brand are willing to pay ...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
first, not to pick on you, portwood, but if you're driving out from Markham, didn't you know what to expect beer-wise (or even price-wise) before you came? why wouldn't you go there any time soon? i live in the east end and, in the past month, i've been at Bellwoods 5 or 6 times. I've been to the O...

Sure. Thats the ticket.
Honestly, this is likely the most ridiculous thing I have read on BT in a long time. And there is a lot of ridiculous crap on here.

What does "murky" taste like?
Not familiar with malt fading (or murking) being a thing.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Fat Tug is having the strangest roll out. A case will show up at random lcbo's and then disappear. Didn't expect to see it down here and based on reported bottling dates I didn't check drinkvine or the main site to check. Walked into one of the better ones here and they had plenty. Grabbed 2 just i...
